Synology bietet neben überteuerter Hardware eine sehr gute Softwareintegration. Grad für sehr kleine Unternehmen ohne große Anforderungen bekommt man da was das out of the box funktioniert und bedienbar ist. Klar geht das auch alles günstig und open source aber dann muss man entweder Ahnung haben, v

I've owned a Synology since 2018. I've owned a Ugreen for about a year and a half, since the Kickstarter. The ugrene does have a photo app, but I prefer immich running in a docker container. The comet above is spot on, about whether you want better hardware or mature software. If you want to build d

The DS225+ ($339) is good and would not be overkill, but I would highly recommend getting larger than 2TB drives you're considering. In fact, the price difference from 2TB to 4TB or even 6TB drives is quite small, so consider that if you want to have some space to grow. Other options to consider if

Well to offer an alternative viewpoint as someone who had Synology devices for over 12 years, including the DS224+ and even the DS225+ (which I swore I’d never get but still did .. 🙄) and who has a similar sized library to you, you don’t need tailscale for external access. As long as you’ve got the

Mislim da je najbolje plug-n-play rješenje synology. Imam DS220+ I radi godinama bez greške. 3rd party diskovi nisu problem. Imam i prastari DS115 koji radi valjda već 15 godina bez gašenja... Napravio sam i vlastiti NAS od miniPC, ali to nije ni približno elegantno niti privlačno za nekoga tko se n

Note with some NAS there are 2 methods. SMB NAS support, you basically select the NAS as storage from the settings of the G5 in the aqara app. It records the video there. RTSP/ONVIF streaming to a NAS. IN the aqara app go for the camer go to the … top right, device settings, rtsp or network streamin

What is your upload speed? If you plan to share a server with other people you need a good amount of upload. As a rule of thumb I would say around 10 mbps upload for every remote user. Your laptop CPU is a bit on the low specs https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Celeron+2957U+%40+1.40GHz&i

Synology ds225+ with 2x 12 tb hdds. It was a steal at $700 with the enclosure itself already around $580 at other shops. Unfortunately the ds255+ still comes with an older procesor and no m2 slots. but a Plex Media Server, it will do its job.

I recently installed Immich on my DS225+ but experience should be roughly the same for the 220. Most important is a RAM upgrade. After launching Immich for the first time with the stock 2GB it rendered the whole NAS unusable, as the Swap mechanism was constantly trying to swap parts of the RAM onto
