sinology to Ugreen?
Bought a new DS225+ to replace my dead DS220+. I then decided the Ugreen 2800 was a better value. From the all metal case (built like a tank), to 4x more ram, better processor, two M.2 slots, etc. It's just better in almost every way from what I can tell. NAS Suggestion
I guess it depends on your problem space. I don't want/need another photo browser. I use iCloud / Apple Photos for that. I just want a reliable backup of my (family's) photos in an automated fashion, and for that, PhotoSync is more than enough. I don't see any situation in the future where I would b

Is building a custom NAS with Unraid or True NAS worth it over pre build solutions, and if yes, how to do it?
Just a heads I'd stay away from Synology, they are currently deep into their enshittification Era. 1st they are forcing people to buy they're branded drives and 2nd Nas Campares just posted this video:Synology Kills Graphics Drivers and HEVC & H.264 HW Transcoding on the J4125 NAS (DS225+ & DS425+)
