You genuinely might want to avoid Synology as well, UGreen would be my recommendation. Synology reversed their ban of third party HDD/SSD drives recently (M.2 drives are still banned) except the language they used in the press release implies they're DEFINITELY going to try again in the future. Storage setup
This.. I lost about 30TB of data with 1 disk parity in a 4 bay synology NAS. A second drive died while the array was being rebuilt.

Jellyfin suddenly lagging with 4K Videos.
You would need a better cpu/gpu that can run 4k stuff. So I would recommend getting a mini PC with an intel cpu that can encode and then set up your jellyfin on that and have the Synology NAS mounted to it and basically just be storage. Plex remote getting "Connection to the server isn't fast enough" message, but Tautulli shows it direct playing
I'll have to look into that more. My Plex server is on a Synology NAS and there doesn't seem to be a natively supported app for something like that, so it's not quite as straightforward as it would be for me to install on a Windows PC.

Wiim Ultra + Synology NAS / feedback from users with this setup
I have that setup and use Minimserver on my Synology NAS. I also have AssetUPNP but don't use it much. Others like Plex. I also use Lyrion on a raspberry Pi which, tbh, is my server of preference

Gluetun + qBittorrent + Arr stack on Synology NAS won't start reliably after reboot
Real solution - sell the synology and replace it with a custom nas / server to do all of this properly =) I kid, but really you could just run a version of qbittorent with the vpn builtin and skip Gluetun entirely...

HowTo install on Synology
IcI assume you have a older version of a Synology NAS. Those do not work with AVX which is needed to Maschine Learning. Have the same problem with my DS218+

Erstes NAS - oder doch was ganz anderes?
Ich kann dir aus Erfahrung sagen: War vor knapp 4 Jahren genau in deiner Situation. Synology NAS zugelegt, extra NAS HDDs, Noctua Fans und alles an Upgrades was man machen kann. War ein super cooles Projekt - nach einem halben Jahr hab ich das Ding wieder verkauft. Hab zwei 2TB ssds - die reichen ;)
