The 16" and 11.5" both use the Streamlight ProTac HL-X, and the 18" uses a Streamlight ProTac 2. I'd recommend the HL-X (or HL-X Pro) since it's much more powerful while still being pretty decently priced, abt 120 bucks on Amazon last I checked

From what I understand, the first gen GTL is cheeks compared to GTL II or basically any other WML, it's like comparing a candle to a ProTac HL-X. Apparently it's super durable though.

Yeah the DFT is pretty wild indoors. It also doesn’t illuminate full rooms as well as a wider pattern. I prefer my Streamlight HLX indoors. No I’ve swapped out the RM2 for a ProTac HLX, the RM2 now sits on one of my ARs Usability wise I quite liked it when usng the pressure switch on the light. My current EDC is a 6 year old Streamlight ProTac HL-X. I love it and it fits neatly in my front left pocket. It’s got 1000 lumens on high. Beats the chit out of Maglight, but no more useful as a compliance tool than a decent tactical pen.
