Where to go for luxury office chairs?
graphic office interiors in saanichton has steelcase chairs if you are in that kind of budget (in and around the $1k mark). the leap, series 1/2, amia, and a few others are not mesh. you might need to call ahead to book an appointment, but they had all the chairs as demos to try in-store when I boug

Can anyone recommend a comfortable chair for long hours of remote work that doesn’t break the bank?
i feel you on the sore back after full days. the branch chair is decent for $300 but the steelcase series 1 at $500 is worth the jump - way better lumbar and seat cushion that doesnt flatten. also check out the sihoo m18 around $250 or the clatina mellet if you want a headrest. what helped me was ge

Got the Steelcase Series 2. Review + AMA
Series 2 won't be too big since it's adjustable, but you can definitely save money and go for personality or series 1. Try to see if there's any Steelcase showroom in your city, you can go and experience them

Computer chair recs: Do any of you have a chair where you're able to sit with your legs crossed?
My husband sits cross legged in the steelcase Series 1 and you can catch it on Amazon “used” (warehouse deals rebranded) for around $400 or less. That’s less than $50 more than your current budget. (That said, the steelcase sucked for my back personally, and that’s why he has it… but he loves it) Ev

Okay friends: what are your comfiest office chair recs?
Comfiest chair I've ever used was a Herman Miller Mirra 2 - comfortable mesh, super adjustable, able to rock a bit. I worked as an assistant at a fancy office and everyone had these $1600 chairs. I'm very short, so if I was splurging on one myself is go with the Herman Miller Aeron because it comes

What is a 'buy it for life' item that is offensively expensive, but the moment you use it, you realize your entire life before that point was a lie?
I went with a Steelcase Series 1, and love it.

How good is the Gispen ZINN Smart ergonomics-wise?
i sat in a Herman Miller Aeron for years and honestly, office chairs are super personal. The Gispen is a solid Dutch brand, but comfort depends on your body. what helped me when i was chair shopping was looking at adjustable lumbar support and seat depth. If you're curious about the higher-end feel,

Chairs
I bought a Steelcase Series 1 chair as my sewing chair; it wasn't cheap but they delivered it to my house. Almost any good office chair without arms would work. What you want to check: Lumbar support Seat pan depth (how wide the seat is from front to back so your back and butt are against the back o

Illustrator Here, This is My 2026 Setup Vs. My 2025 Setup, Any thoughts about what ergonomics to add?
yeah for drawing all day i’d probably think about the chair before chasing smaller desk accessories. curious if people here would put nouhaus ergo3d in the same conversation as steelcase series 1 for long illustration sessions, or if the safer move is still the more traditional office-chair route.
