Pelvic Support vs Lumbar Support - Why Most "Ergonomic" Chairs Get It Wrong
I keep wondering whether there are chairs out there that truly tick all the boxes. Aeron and Zody seem to come the closest thanks to their forward tilt feature. I still need to try an Aeron with forward tilt, and I’ll be doing a multi-day test of the Zody next week to see how it holds up in real use

Is this a real Steelcase Series 1?
That is not an Steelcase Series 1 chair, it should look like this, it has a plastic membrane back not the Y shaped one in the photo.

$150 For Steelcase Series 1
I'll go against the grain and say you should be able to find a Leap or Amia ( pretty solid Steelcase upgrade) for about $200 and I wouldn't really consider the series 1 unless its like $50 But I'm a pain in the ass and deal hunt Edit: used pricing, check FB marketplace or offer up

Pelvic Support vs Lumbar Support - Why Most "Ergonomic" Chairs Get It Wrong
Thanks. Unfortunately, it took me a long time and a painful wake-up call from ongoing thoracic and neck issues to realize this. I’m still trying to find a chair that works better in this regard. I’ve been using Steelcase chairs at work in a corporate environment for about 15 years, and during the pa

Haworth Fern, Zody or Steelcase Amia?
Depends on the purpose, I am Testing right now the fern and Zody, while fern feels more confortable to relax is Not good for tasks: typing, coding, mouse usage because it is reclined significantly in default position, zodi in the other hand have better lumbar support and forward tilt position, which

Is this a real Steelcase Series 1?
I don’t think that’s a Series 1. I don’t remember them having a Y-back, and the top shouldn’t flair out like that. That looks like a cheap chair. Bottom cushion is lopsided, and arms look flimsy… If it’s really a Steelcase chair, have them show you the logo on the chair.

Is this a real Steelcase Series 1?
This is the answer. If anything the Torsa is a better chair than Steelcase Series 1 (based on my experience with a SitOnIt Amplify, which is somewhat similar). See if you can negotiate down to $60.

Any input on the lesser Steelcase models? Steelcase Series 1/2?
If your budget is Series 1/2 level, then there are superior choices from other brands or refurbished higher end Steelcase models. Imo there’s just no real reason to get these chairs because they’re simply not that great for the price.

Recommendations for a Good Work Chair
I like Okamura’s Sylphy, one of the comfiest chairs I’ve sat in. I tried the Herman Millers at co-working spaces and they seem to be just meh.. I’ve a steelcase series 1 for 6 years now, it fits your budget but it’s pretty average. Afaik, Secretlab is more marketing than chair. Try to get a mesh bac

UK – Refurbished Steelcase Think V1 vs SIHOO M57 vs stretching to Series 1? Worth it short-term?
Judt go with the Sihoo M57. I have one bought mine from Sihoo Australia and it’s been solid for daily work. Nothing fancy, but comfortable enough and gets the job done. Refurb Steelcase is good value, yeah, but it’s still used and a bit of a gamble depending on condition. Series 1 feels overkill for
