SV08 Nightmare - DO NOT BUY!!!

Man sucks you had a bad experience. Personally I love my sovols. I have two SV08, one older and one newer gen. The newer gen fixed the taco bed problem and the shroud popping off. But overall it’s a great printer for the money. Make sure you have the latest updates and profiles.

Im ready!! ...and doubtful. Advice?

I modded my sv08 into a stealthchanger and replaced the mainboard with a btt kraken. The first thing you should upgrade imo is the dinky 150w psu with something like the lrs350-24. I think upgrading the mainboard is worth it because the stock board is cheap af, and you will save yourself from a lot

Best mini voron for quality/precision?

The only official mini voron is the 0.2. (and technically the 0.1 I guess) idk much about "engineering materials", but no voron uses a chamber heater. It's not endorsed nor allowed to be discussed(see rule 7 for this sub). Precision/quality is all on you. Build it right and it'll be as precise as yo

This isn’t supposed to move like this is it?

Yeah, it's time to replace them. But for real the time to replace them is the same moment you buy the SV08, because they install wrong idlers there. Just look at the comparison between my stock idlers and the correct 2GT profile ones that I installed.

I am at a crossroads (buying advice)

Voron is hardcore project in many areas. Requires time, observation and total commitment. Understanding you’ve got high bar, consider an SV08. Solid machine, Voron-based with full potential to reach absolute hardcore performance.

Im ready!! ...and doubtful. Advice?

Honest question, why not use a sovol tool head? I have the zero which uses a CAN board and has an eddy on it. It prints like a charm. I’m relatively sure there’s an official upgrade for the SV08 that brings it up to the same style (I think maybe the max uses the new style too).

Coming from P1S, advice/pros and cons for the SV08 3D Printer

I started with a mk3 long ago and purchased an SV08 about one year ago. It’s still working well in its standard configuration. Some things are not perfect, some things could be a little more polished. But I don’t consider myself a tinkerer when it comes to my 3d printer and I’m still quite happy with

Printer recommendations

I think buy Sovol if you want to tinker, but you're not ready to build a whole printer yourself. If you just want to print without issues (for the most part) buy another brand, like Bambu or something. I bought my SV08 to tinker with and learn how to modify, and it's given me reason to do so from da

Sovol svo08 or prusa core one?

Core One! While I’m sure the SV08 is tuned decently, my Core One has been perfect. I have a Voron 2.4 for tinkering, and will likely build a trident for INDX.

The H2C Review: Better Than a Toolchanger?

Its perfect for me. Fast prototyping with breakaway supports and two materials, easy with Engineering Materials, Option to do a reasonable multicolorprint, decent size. If this thing works, I am maybe selling all of my printers to leave the emtional damage behind. Ender 3 v3 se. Money grave, only re
