Regarding your question about cameras, I would sit down and figure out what you think you really want out of a camera. You can get some really nice DSLR and older mirrorless cameras for reasonable prices second-hand. I have a Sony a5000 as my first real camera and a 70-210mm OSS lens for my first te

Suggestions for a Wifi digicam for 7yo?

I’m just moving on to a new camera brand and while exploring my bag found an old Sony Alpha 5000 I bought some years ago for long distance hiking. That has the tributes you mention and you can pick them up for not much more than £100 on eBay with a lens. The sensor is about 20M and the camera is sma

Looking for a hybrid camera that meets my needs <$300 Recommendations

I started with sony a5000 which is super light weight and portable. I also started with cheap manual lenses on Amazon, you can get really interesting ones from $70-200 bucks. Regarding your hybrid comment, you can just swap out lenses based on what you are shooting, don't need to swap out the body..

Photography and videography during travel

I used to use a DSLR on trips when my kids were younger, and of course, the pics came out much better than smartphones at the time. Now, my oldest is getting into photography, and I found a nice Sony Alpha A5000 to start with. The compact size and performance are more than enough to learn and grow w

Cheap mirrorless?

If you want absolutely tiny the Sony a5000 and a5100 can both be found in your price range. A6000/A6300/A6500 all turn up in that price range as well and the bodies are about as small as all but the smallest m43 cameras. Lots of lens choices in the Sony ecosystem but not as much variety in terms of

any idea how to get clinically diagnosed?

Your post on r/cameras immediately got removed as I was replying to it, so I’ll paste my comment here: Get a used camera online or from a camera store. Budget offerings like Sony’s A6000 series (EXCEPT THE A6700) often go for under 1000 CAD with a minimal shutter count (basically mileage for cameras

What are good beginner cameras to use?

If you’re trying to get into photography. Sony A5000 ~$200 used. Great starter camera - compact and easy to use. Sony A6000 ~$400 used. Faster autofocus and has a viewfinder. Both use Sony E-mount lenses, so you can upgrade without changing lenses.

Anyone started to travel only in their 30s?

Explore the Southern Islands. It costs next to nothing. Or go to Changi Village and take the boat to Pulau Ubin just for the experience. Check out Raffles Lighthouse. Or check out City Plaza mall opposite Paya Lebar mrt and “time travel” back to the 80’s & 90’s. There are so many ageing malls that n
