ZR Owners - How is the AutoFocus and Inbuilt Stabilization compared to Sony Cameras?

I replaced a Sony ZV-E1 with the Nikon ZR. I also have a Sony A7CII. The screen was a factor in my switch to the ZR. The ZV-E1 was difficult to use on bright days. I've been very happy with the ZR screen. Autofocus was definitely better on Sony, but the ZR is not bad. I don't shoot anything super fa

Old Sony Users Who Switched To Panasonic; Any Regrets?

Seeing a lot of a67 series people here saying no regrets. I came from fx3 to Lumix twice. Once for s5iix and I switched back. Then recently I swapped fx3 again for s1iie. Neither the Sony or the Lumix are my main camera for work. I had red with the Sonys (fx3, a7cii and zve1) and I recently switched

FX3 or R6V

Imo the FX3 doesn’t generally would make sense in a vacuum but there is competition and Sony has allegedly registered the FX3ii which means it will probably be released soon. I think the biggest pros for the FX3 are lowlight, great autofocus, easy to edit files, full sensor 4k and also compatibility

BMPCC 6K Pro or Sony ZV-E1?

For your scenario the ZV-E1 would be the obvious choice between these two. I owned both of them and AF and the flip out screen makes the Sony way more convenient. But i also learned to love the BMPCC for its pic quality, handling (UI is 👌🏻) and rigability. Have you considered a Lumix S9? Same sensor

The S9 is Panasonic's top selling camera

It is a great pocket video camera and casual photography travel camera. It lacks many professional photography features and people disparage it for that without considering the camera isn’t made for that kind of work. I ultimately returned it, the camera feels a bit too cheap for me, the buttons and

Returning my FX30 - What's the right upgrade from GH5 for event/social media work?

Go with the Sony ZV-E1. Significantly cheaper than FX3/A7S3 (especially if you're willing to buy used). Same sensor with great low light capabilities. AF is supposedly better than those cameras. And you get 4K60 SLog3 in 10 bit. If you're shooting run and gun (which it seems like you are), the ZV-E1

FX3 or A7V as someone transitioning from photos to video

I own FX3, ZV-E1, A7iv and the new A7v. Damn. Leave some for the rest of us! After some testings and a few field gigs, the A7v certainly has the better sony Autofocuse system The ZV-E1 has the AI autofocus. Are you saying the A7V is noticeably better again? How’s it better if so? and just like most

FX3 or A7V as someone transitioning from photos to video

I own FX3, ZV-E1, A7iv and the new A7v. After some testings and a few field gigs, the A7v certainly has the better sony Autofocuse system and better in-body stabilizer, and sharper in-camera 4k video codec than FX3 and ZV-E1. Low light is shockingly as good as FX3 and ZV-E1 up to ISO 12800... ZV-E1

Sony ZV-E1 vs FX30 for cooking videos (Food Content Creator)

the fx30 is the smarter pick for food work because the super35 sensor gives you more depth of field at similar apertures - easier to keep that whole pan in focus. pair it with the sony 90mm macro or the sigma 18-50 f2.8 for top-down shots. if you want extra pop in those reds and oranges, grab a tiff

I want a camera

Not many people here do video. You would be better off posting in the videography sub. Every time someone comes in here asking about cinema cameras, most cinema cameras are inappropriate for their needs. I am confident that you are better off with a hybrid or content creator type camera. Many people
