Q for Comedians: Best Camera for Shooting Shows? I Made a Mistake.
Here's my current setup: ZVE10 - got it from FB Marketplace 2nd hand for $500. Shoots 4k 30fps. Eye and face tracking is pretty good. Can shoot for 2+ hours just fine without battery swaps if you plug it into a power bank and the internal battery is fully charged. There are some situations when it d

Cheap Beginner Cameras?
I’d separate this into two decisions: “what camera should I buy?” and “how do I get the look I want?” For the camera part, I’d be careful about buying a cheap older compact just because it is a separate camera. A lot of them will not clearly beat an iPhone 14 Plus for casual video, especially in sta

Need Help For Buying First Camera
Two cameras: Canon R50V Sony ZVE10 Canon has much better video features and is newer than the Sony, but the lens ecosystem in Sony is unparalleled. I would choose the canon here just because my focus is videography. If photography was in my priorities i would choose Sony.

Please help me to decide- Sony ZV-E10 or Canon R50?
Go with the R50. For lenses, Canon's RF-S lineup is straightforward. The kit 18-45mm covers learning and content creation, the 55-210mm handles events, and the 50mm f/1.8 takes care of portraits when paid gigs start. Simple roadmap. Sony's E-mount actually wins on glass. The Sigma 16mm, 30mm, and 56

If you were starting out today and had a goal in mind of having equipment that was budget conscious and would take great video, but wanted to do stuff that was a bit more physical (outdoors, hiking, etc), what would you pick to go into your bag ?
Probably a Sony ZVE10 II and the Sony 18-105 F4 OSS, a VND, some kind of wireless mic, and a tripod. I'm actually quite partial to the Joby 3k / 5k flexible tripods for travel stuff as I do a lot of shoots on hikes where I'm riding my bike to and from the hike, so I really prioritize light weight an

Sony 55-210mm : Let's discuss !
Its a great lens for anything casual, if you have a kit lens, then you essentially covered majority use case for casual photography. I cant send Photos here but take a look at my profile, i posted some photos using the 55-210. Its my first Telephoto lens paired with the ZVE10 and its the only option

Help a fellow (future) ZVE10 user:)
IMO, stabilization is manageable. You can also use Gyroflow (plugin in Resolve) instead of Catalyst Browse. You can also look for (used) OSS lenses (kit lens, 18-105, 50mm f/1.8, ...). OSS is not perfect, but can deliver not as shaky video out of camera. If you want that blurry background, the Viltr

Plz Suggest lens for my use case.
Kit lens (Sony E PZ 16–50mm F3.5–5.6 OSS) honestly might be the best one to use in your case. Light and wide angle. So try to buy the ZV-E10 that's bundled with that lens. But if you want THE best lens (in my opinion) and money's not an issue, then get the Sony E 16-55mm f/2.8 G Lens.

Student needs gear advice, please. FX30/A7III/ZVe10/AC I?
I'd go ZV-E10. You could go any of the other cameras, but what you will quickly find out is that a camera is really a small part of the kit (yet one of the most expensive). If you spend all your money on the camera, then how will you buy: mics and audio recording lenses lights tripod cases and/or ba
