Just bought the Sony FX3 and a SD card.
Can’t use a Panasonic card in a Sony. The data will fall out. Sorry bud! Gotta return the FX3.

When does a camera rig become “silly” rather than useful? What accessories do you think are pointless?
Easy rigs for stabilizing purposes are pointless. An easy rig is for HEAVY camera rigs to help with the weight. This is all. This is what it does. Stop using them for an FX3. Most cinema lenses are nonsense. Cinema lenses that add specific texture are the exception. I shot a commercial half on Cooke

FX3/NAB News
I disagree. They can improve sensor readout, update autofocus with their latest AI tracking, improve IBIS, implement open gate, they recently filed patents for internal NDs with extremely small form factor that could possibly be implemented, as well as 32-bit float and an improved audio tophandle. What’s the difference in an Arri Alexa and a Sony fx3? In terms of the image.
I’ve been following the minutiae of CMOS sensor technology for the better part of 15 years now, and the dominance of Arri’s imagers really is a testament to their approach. The thing to keep in mind with Arri when considering the sensors is that they spare no expense. The first thing they do is a co

What’s the difference in an Arri Alexa and a Sony fx3? In terms of the image.
yeah it's not even just this sub, it's become an annoying Film Blog mantra that "if they could shoot that on an FX3, so can you", as if it didn't also have a $70m budget. it looks incredible and broke the mold for this kind of film, but camera aside, it still went through the same Fotokem, ILM, etc

I traded an fx30 for this
Lmao so your standard is Netflix approved FX3/FX30? Not everyone will care about this tho, including myself. While many Sony owners will eventually rig it out to be a "cinema rig", some people would rather work with an "actual" cinema camera and not a mirrorless camera first and video second. I gues

FX3 price drop is inevitable right?
it's mainly maintained it's price point due to popularity and branding, and right now there are a lot of new cameras in that price range that have the fx3 beat in the majority of categories. resolution, frame rates , open gate, IBIS, codecs, hybrid performance, low light, etc. but none of them eithe

FX3 or R6V
I will be creating and posting lacrosse highlight reels to Instagram as my primary use case. Sounds like you are saying the R6v might be better for social media content? Can you explain? I’d love to understand. Also is one of these better for sports (outdoor lacrosse mainly and a little outdoor socc

My arms are heavy, mums spaghetti - How do I improve my Livestream Setup?
thanks again for the info! as you might noticed, I'm not a gimbal guy. For my recorded stuff I'm using my FX3 more in a docu style rig. (i like handheld more in general) Since these type of streams will happen more with the new client, I have a reason to actually invest money for a gimbal. sadly son

Best full cage of cine rig?
Yes, had one, returned it. The Rhinoceros isn't compatible with the Sony FX3 / FX30 audio handle. It's a nice enough cage, but is more style than substance.
