Just bought the Sony FX3 and a SD card.
Can’t use a Panasonic card in a Sony. The data will fall out. Sorry bud! Gotta return the FX3.

FX30 or FX3 or something else?
An S1ii costs less than an FX3 and outperforms it. If I didn't have Sony glass I'd take that over an FX3 or FX30 any day (I'm still shooting Sony with over 1k paid gigs done on an a7siii/FX3 so not a Panasonic shill, just being objective)

Does this seem like a good deal? Its 3k for the lot
Saying an fx3 let alone an fx30 delivers a better image than a ursa g2 is so far from reality. The Ursa has one of the best latitudes for a S35 sensor, build in ND's, RAW flexibility and overall a better user interface. The image quality outperforms both the fx3 and fx30 in lab tests. Media options

When does a camera rig become “silly” rather than useful? What accessories do you think are pointless?
Easy rigs for stabilizing purposes are pointless. An easy rig is for HEAVY camera rigs to help with the weight. This is all. This is what it does. Stop using them for an FX3. Most cinema lenses are nonsense. Cinema lenses that add specific texture are the exception. I shot a commercial half on Cooke

A7V - Discussion
Hmm nikon and lumix seem more relevant in a number of ways. Sony is still all about a7siii and fx3/6.

Considering trading FX6 for FX3
And now you have FX3 owners ready and willing to swap for what you have. You might be going from STEAK to LIVER but it’s your use case and portability needs that you must consider. Just showing up with an FX6 somewhere trumps walking in with an FX3 and some lower end REDs 😂. You’ll be perceived to b

Sony FX6 Peaking is incorrect
Same issue on FX3, FX30, Burano... Sony doesn't want you to use anamorphic unless you're using a Venice and paying them a license for anamorphic firmware. There are other quirks you might encounter shooting anamorphics on Sony bodies, but don't expect them to fix them

Is FX3 better than Sony A7V?
The FX3 has a lower MP sensor with larger pixels which reduces rolling shutter and can record in basically any framerate. The FX3's image will look better. Personally, I take Lumix cameras over Sony

My first cinema camera!
I’ve been a canon shooter for most of my life and have 2x c400s now. When the mk2 came out I was surprised how little it got used on bigger sets. Sony seems to be the leader but honestly my c400s are better than any of the Sony cams in the mainstream. I’ve shot with the fx9, fx6, and fx3. It’s all t

Not sure where this fits in…. #sonyfx2
Oof. The EVF is cool but I can’t believe they’re choosing this sensor and these specs in 2025. No open gate is inexcusable IMO. And this is coming from someone who likes Sony cameras — own an FX3/6
