This right here. Sound. Also lighting is more important than the camera. Sony FX3, FS7Markii image, C300MarkIII is very respectable in LOG.

I know the FX6 has some cine body niceties like internal ND, SDI, etc, but I view the FX3 as basically a full sibling to the FX6 that embraces slightly different compromises. I don’t think of it as a lower tier really… FX3… You lose internal ND, but you gain stabilization. You lose some ports that a

Honestly the X-H2S is a great camera and in some ways has a better image/video specs than either Sony (open gate, 6K, ProRes or high data rate H265, great color). The biggest improvement you’ll notice is autofocus (Fuji AF is terrible) but the lenses are bigger and more expensive. If you do get a So

Any of the Sony FX cameras. You have a bunch of options and prices but they all give you roughly the same image. At that point its things like lens and memory cards that dictate video quality, and quality of use (real buttons) that dictate price. I don't think the FX30 is approved for netflix if tha

Listen, I started shooting on Sony cameras over 15 years ago. Transitioned to Canon 5 years in, and then a fr

Funny enough both of these videos were recorder on a fx3 with the 14-24mm Sony gm that’s usually how they get these clean shot with everything in focus and no noise. I would opt for rec709 or s Vientiane with your setup

As a person working with the Komodo og and an FX3 I totally feel you about the autofocus. Didn't had the chance to try the Dji focus pro, was it that bad? I honestly like the image from the Komodo way more than the Sony. But pragmatism...

I guess we'll agree to disagree for the most part. I get why you're skeptical. I just remember hearing in a CES interview or something of the sort Sony's explanation of why they didn't label many of their cameras as dual native ISO and it was due to them reserving that label for cameras that match t
