Sony admits A7S III firmware updates are breaking features
This is a crap excuse. It’s not that features are stripped. It’s the fact that Sony KNOWS that cameras are getting bricked and crippled. Yet, they are making customers pay for fried motherboards and arguing with them about how ITS NOT their fault. Don’t get me wrong i appreciate them still adding fe

FX30 or FX3 or something else?
An S1ii costs less than an FX3 and outperforms it. If I didn't have Sony glass I'd take that over an FX3 or FX30 any day (I'm still shooting Sony with over 1k paid gigs done on an a7siii/FX3 so not a Panasonic shill, just being objective)

New A7s III firmware update 5.0
I’ve been burnt twice on A7S3 firmware updates with repair costs at my expense (!!), I’m never touching another firmware update again. It’s not even remotely my fault Sony decided to substitute parts AND write firmware that doesn’t work with all the parts THEY have shipped….

Bluetooth/WiFi malfunction after new update
The newer firmware versions can break wireless and audio features on a subset of Sony cameras. These issues have impacted the A7S III, FX3 and other Sony models. It seems that Sony changed key hardware components during production. The newer firmware versions don't fully support cameras with the alt

New A7s III firmware update 5.0
I was charged about 1150 AUD each and had to pay it for two cameras I tried and tried and I kept explaining this your problem: your firmware broke advertised functionality I paid for, it’s not my problem, it’s yours Sony. All I got was basically “you’re out of warranty”. And since then, while I stil

a7siii + dji mic static
Our a7siii gets static noise with two different RODE wireless mics as well. Our other Sony cameras don't. Always figured it's a hardware fault.

Sony a7siii Good Enough for Real Estate Photography?
This is exactly what I did. I think I only got the a7siii up to like 30k before I got the a7iv. The shutter count on the a7iv on the other hand.... Edit: just checked and just passed 171,000 with original shutter. ideally I should have sold it a bit earlier and grabbed another but atp just gonna see

Fujifilm user hitting a wall :Looking for advice on S5ii, XH2S, or switching ecosystems?
I switched from sony a7iii to lumix. Now I got the s5ii, s5 and s9. I really liked the a7iii, was great to work with. But since I have started to use Lumix I enjoy photography and videography way more. Besides ergonomics everything feels great. But I have to say that I have small hands and sony came

GoPro to lay off 145 workers — nearly a quarter of its workforce
All camera companies are in decline. All you need is a decent phone for 99.9% of use cases. Yeah, that Sony A7s3 does look better. It’s also bulky and inefficient and very expensive. And that’s before you start buying lenses.
