I made my highest resolution image of the milky way yet (288 megapixels).
Some details on the shot: Back in April I was in Big Bend, Texas, under the darkest skies in the United States. If you haven't been, I highly recommend it for night sky viewing. It's the first time I've seen a sky as dark as what I experienced on my trip to Namibia a few years ago - you can practica

Walt Disney World Testing Significantly Improved Disney PhotoPass Cameras
I was really surprised the first time we did Photopass and saw the old Nikons. The A7IV is a huge upgrade (although I'm biased because that's what I shoot with), but the real magic would be if they bumped the file sizes for the downloads.

Not sure where this fits in…. #sonyfx2
Dead on arrival… 🫤 So I’ve been digging into the upcoming Sony FX2, and I’m honestly struggling to understand who this camera is supposed to be for. It feels like Sony just slapped the A7IV’s guts into a slightly different body, called it “cinema,” and bumped the price up. With an expected price of

First and Maybe Last Visit to India?
I shot these on a full frame mirrorless camera. I use a Sony a7iv with a 70-200mm gm ii lens. I should have brought a 16-35mm too but such is life. The 4th image is the only one from my iPhone. You may be able to get similar shots with other non-Apple mobile products. I am no pro photographer but my

Butterflies!
Some pics I took today of two butterflies in a local rain garden. I use the Sony Alpha 7 IV and the lens I was using here is the Sony 200-600mm f5.6-6.3 G OSS lens.
Most of the pictures turned out exactly as I wanted, but I was quite sad that even at an f stop of 32 I was unable to get both butte

ITAP of a Railroad Truss
We’re getting close to the winter Milky Way season! To celebrate, I’ve decided to take the plunge into h-alpha narrowband imaging to add to my photos. There are so many beautiful emissions in the winter band of the Milky Way that only become even more stunning when you add this data to them. Cygnus

Editing is everything tbh (original in comments)
Shot on a Sony a7iv with a 24-105mm lens. Shot at 44mm, 100 iso, and 1/60 shutter. Been trying to really get advanced with editing and ensure every photo I want people to see never feels like "just a photo". I've been really working on creating dramatic depth and tense lighting. For this shot, I lit

Heaviest crop I've ever done. Did I pull it off? (After vs Before)
Modern cameras are absolutely insane. A7IV + 100-400 GM. I can only imagine what you could do with a 61mp sensor instead of my 33. I'm really happy with the results however.

Camera Upgrade question!
a7IV is a killer wedding photo camera. But they may get cheaper after a7V is announced. RV is overkill for weddings in my opinion—much larger file sizes.
