Are Olympus PRO lenses better than FF third party ones?

The premium M43 glass, Olympus Pro line and Leica-branded Pansonic lenses, are pretty good overall, and were some of the first to show what you could really do with mirrorless lens design. Modern full-frame lenses have eaten into a lot of what was only possible in M43 a decade ago. The Olympus 12-10

Replacing Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mk 2 with Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mk 1 for bird photography.

My E-M1.1 is my favorite camera. I also have the E-M10.2 and the OM-1 as well as others. Yes the difference in the 10.2 vs 1.1 is significant. Yes the E-M1.2 is better than the original BUT a fully updated 1.1 gets most of what the 1.2 has (except sensor of course). I like the hand feel of the OG E-

Is there anyone who has used both Sony and Olympus cameras?

I have the a6300, a7ii and a7r4. On the Olympus side, I have the OM-1.ii and E-P7. I don't use the kit lens on the Olympus cameras - I mostly use the 12-40/2.8 PRO. The Sony kit lens is shit, and the kit lenses I have for my older Olympus cameras are excellent, and so are samples I've seen online fo

Best micro 4/3 camera body?

Most compact cameras are on the slippery side to be honest. I also agree with u/postmodest , my current full frame is A7R III. It just works so plainfully and boringly good. Every time I use my Sony, it just works and gets it right every time..... but I don't know, I just feel detached from the phot

Camera gear you own or owned that was universally loved but you never warmed up to it.

And while I'm complaining, I have the A7R3 and the A7R5. I bought the A7R3 first and loved it. When it was time to get a second body for dual camera usage, it made sense to get the A7R5, it would be almost the same, right? Well, the menu is a lot different(better), the video record button is in a di

The first camera you really liked to use.

I took some photos with my dad’s old film camera when I was a kid. I think it was an Olympus. But for my own, I had quite a lot of fun with my Sony A7r III.

Does this mean my SD card is going out or there is something wrong with the camera?

I'm not sure I understand this comment. I've been shooting with Sony since 2017? maybe 2018? I have the Sony A7III, A7RIII, A7SIII, A7IV, and A7C. I also have the Sony ZV-1. I've had zero issues with my cameras short of the shutter going out on the A7III and A7RIII at 300,000 and 500,000 shutter cli

Why are some photographers still using DSLRs exclusively?

My 5D mkII died. But I already was a huge fan of the Sony Alpha’s. I bought a second A7 when the 5D died. I still have some Canon lenses, well it’s the ZE Macro Planar. I don’t use it very often it’s not comfortable to use on a Sony. I prefer my 100mm Elmarit R APO. I’m still using Pentax 645 MF DSL

Why is the online photography community so toxic?

Now if you're going after price or the World's Best, oh boy....Sit back and let Ken Rockwell upset people! World's Best Camera - Hasselblad or iPhone X. [The Hasselblad has been the camera to which every professional photographer has aspired since at least the 1960s. It was the camera most used by A

Z5II or Z8?

z5ii and a7iii share the same sensor. You’re getting better af(?), better user experience, a flipy screen, and you can use Z mount lenses. Yes you can adapt EtZ but I wouldn’t unless you need both systems for very specific reasons. I would say if there’s a Z lens that you really like the rendering,
