Philadelphia snow day
Thanks. I use the Sony A7RII with 24-70 lens usually, and more recently the Fuji X100VI. Both Sony batteries died within the first hour of shooting so this set is a mix of both cameras.

Settings for Capture One to Manually Control Focus
Oof.. it’s been a long time since I’ve tethered a Sony, but I remember a lot of things for live view not working with them. I don’t believe Sony’s can do that in C1. Has to be a Nikon, Canon, or a Phase. (I don’t know about L mount stuff) Same went for punching into the live view feed to see 1:1, yo

Who needs a retro aesthetic when you can have 2010s wedding photographer aesthetic
I'll never sell my D750, one of the few cameras I bought new. I even found a 2nd one for €550 with the 85mm f1.8 and Sigma 35mm f1.4 (a bit broken but working). I bought a Sony A7RII but that broke after like 2 years, Nikon are just more durable. When the 2nd hand prices come down for the Z8, I migh

The skin on Z6
My Sony a7rII skin has completely disintegrated a few years ago. I've heard similar stories about Canon bodies too.

Olympus 12-100 compared with the Sigma 20-200.
Any answer will be full of assumptions. What i would say is Sigma is known to make lenses for first parties, including weather sealed ones so they are not new to this. They are of course not ip rated. The 20-200 does have gaskets at all ingress points including the mount so so it is fully sealed. Ho

Tell Us What You Think About Your M EV1!
I own a handful of cameras. Next to Leicas M2 and M5 also Nikon F2AS, Hasselblad 501CM, Rolleiflex 3.5E and a ShenHao 4x5. My only digital camera (next to my cell phone), is a Sony from the A7RII. I have not used the Sony for real photography for two or three years, it has been demoted to film scann

Nikon Z5ii or Z6ii
I've had the Z7ii and Z8 for an equal amount of time this year by now. The previous generations AF is fine for most non fast moving stuff but the way the new gen AF works is just different. It's so much more reactive and sticky that its hard to put into words. Expeed6 gets an awful lot of slack and

I re-bought the G series I owned as a teen. I don't get the appeal
Most of the negatives you listed are the appeal. The colors are usually more pleasing. The softer look of the photos can be very appealing compared to the razor sharp images of new cameras and lenses. They have a more nostalgic look and feel. I have a Nikon Z8 and have had other newer cameras like t

Sony A7rii focusing question: Ok so first I know this camera is a piece of shit. But it's what I have. The autofocus is beyond terrible. It doesn't seem to matter what the hell I do I can never get this thing to focus consistently or accurately. What is the best settings / way to get this camera to

Thinking about possibly buying Nikon glass for Sony E mount camera.
Nikon SLR bodies are how I've built a large repertoire of quality glass for pennies compared to what it would have cost to do the same on a mirrorless system. I shoot my wildlife with the very lens you mentioned on a D850. I don't know much about adapting to Sony, but I do know I like shooting lense
