Tell Us What You Think About Your M EV1!

I own a handful of cameras. Next to Leicas M2 and M5 also Nikon F2AS, Hasselblad 501CM, Rolleiflex 3.5E and a ShenHao 4x5. My only digital camera (next to my cell phone), is a Sony from the A7RII. I have not used the Sony for real photography for two or three years, it has been demoted to film scann

A Year of Travel with 15 Pro Max

I have a Fuji XF10 and Sony A7R2. Shooting with my phone is 10x easier and more convenient since I am traveling non-stop and limited on space. The only thing I miss with a proper camera is that 1) images lose quality when zooming and 2) I don't get the same compression effect that I could (especiall

New information emerges that Nikon has signed a contract with a third-party lens manufacturer; Z-mount may be further opened up.

I use the Zeiss 55 1.8 with the Viltrox EZ adapter on my Nikon Zf and it works great! Just as good as it does on my Sony A7RII as far as I can tell. (Nikon body is more fun, too)

Nikon z6II or Sony a7III

Well ergonomics made the difference for me. I swtched from sony A7rii to nikon z5 just because it felt better in my hands. ( Currently i upgraded to nikon Z7ii). Both the z6ii and the a7iii cameras are really good tho. Just be sure to get to a camera shop and pick them up and play with the controls

Z7 —> Z8 Is it worth it?

Went from a Sony A7R2 I had for several years to the Z7II earlier this year. Went to an air show in June with it and I'd been considering pulling the trigger on it. The blackout at 10fps was so insane causing me to miss shots I'd have otherwise gotten. Returned home from the trip and by the end of t

Is it worth selling my Sony gear for Fuji?

I like the a6600/a6400/a6100 sensor well enough, but like a lot of that first gen Sony experience it takes a dialing-in period. a7rii had its ups and downs, but could give the worst results given the right (wrong) situation

Talk me out of a potential mistake.........

After being hardcore DSLR for so long, I finally went full mirrorless and ditched my D850, D5, and AF-S and most of my AF lenses for a Z8 and some Z lenses. The only way I would change now would be if Fuji made a GFX system with Autofocus as good as the Z8. I hate Sony cameras, mostly because they d

Field notes from years of adapting vintage glass (5D → A7V)

Never enough difference in colour science to ruin a shot. Shooting RAW helps mitigate that somewhat. Honestly the Fuji X-Trans sensors have some of the best colours right off the bat, hoping they release an X-Pro 4 but until then I’ll still shoot my X-Pro 1 Sony is great but I didn’t like the camera

LUMIX S1R compared to the G9

I have the S1R as well as a G8 (as well as the S5). I use the S1R pretty much exclusively at ISO 100 for landscapes. And at ISO 100 the DR is quite good. It is not quite as good as the 42mp sony sensors (a7r2 and a7r3), but the difference is marginal and not i real use not a point of concern IMO (ma
