Should I switch cameras before it’s too late?

Almost all of the car/motorsports photographers I know are on Canon or Nikon, to be honest I don’t think the brand is relevant at all, it’s mostly the glass you use coupled to your eyes/skill, I don’t think you’re currently limited by your gear (apart from the lens I mean), and if you are, a Sony a6

Should I switch Cameras before it's too late?

Sony a6000 is very old, unless you mean a6700 then it's good. You can do good photography with either brand. Don't look back, unless you have a specific reason. One that you can cite and explain. AF tracking might be one, or framerate and resolution for video, or whatever. Other people having it is

Is there anyone who has used both Sony and Olympus cameras?

I had an a6000 for 10 years before switching to an OM-5 mk.II last year, best decision ever. To be honest, most of the 10 years I had the a6000 I was in a photography "hiatus" because of mainly personal reasons but, when I decided to start taking pictures again last year, I started struggling again

My first ever setup! Any thoughts?

Is it too late to return some of it? The Sony A6000 is plagued by the "Star Eater" algorithm. Like the name sounds, it will remove smaller stars in your image.

My first attempt at concert photography

thank you for the detailed feedback! i used my sony a6000 and a ttartisan 35mm f1.8. the biggest issue i ran into was noise and getting good composition in a venue that didnt have a photo pit.

The coma of the Konica Hexanon AR 57mm ƒ/1.4 [Sony a7II]

Oh yeah, my Sony a6000 would often show purple horizontal lines in direct sunlight. Very annoying. I’m glad the a7II doesn’t have that issue.

Which camera should I get?

As a camera an R50v is far worse than an R50. An R50v is a video recorder for v-loggers with all the camera functions emasculated. A Sony a6000 is ancient. An a6400 is again a video recorder for v-loggers. Cameras do not have storage, they have slots into which you insert SD cards. You need to do mo

New S5D - Strange noises

I have put it on a tripod, on a flat table and it still makes that sound. Guess I’ll return it. My Sony a6000 produces sharper images as well. Tried taking photos of text in a well lit environment and the photos from the lumix always produce blurry outline on the text.

Best camera for a beginner on a tight budget? Considering a used Sony A6000

"I’m just looking for an affordable camera that takes awesome pics" The camera won't do that. The photographer does that. its a 12 year old camera. capable of good images. in general, i found all Sony cameras that I tried from around that time period to have difficult ergonomics/user interface. I fo

Why am I not getting that tack sharp focus?

The other comments have given some good advice but I didn't find any one mentioning editing. What does the RAW file of this photo look like? Has this been edited in any way? Is this a jpeg directly from camera? Sometimes settings and editing can affect perceived sharpness. For example I think most p
