Did I finally find the light sweet spot?

Received my Foxtrot-MSR. Once I figure out how to get the exposure right on my iPhone I'll take some beam shots comparing it to a Scout 640 Turbo, Protac HLX, and my Malkoff HTLv3. I will say it's pretty incredible how good the Foxtrot-MSR is for under $200. My first impressions are it's a much bett

She’s getting there

Thanks! It’s the Sig Foxtrot-MSR compact. It’s a great little light, super bright. The shadow isn’t awful, tbh. I was thinking about putting it on the to pic rail, but I feel like the shadow might actually be worse.

G$ X KAC

HLX is plenty good IMO, i recently had the new Sig foxtrot msr, the switch is much nicer and is surefire compatible, but i still find myself wanting to use tailcap switch instead. HLX is much brighter despite their spec being similar. Ended up going back to streamlight.

Light setups

Sig’s got a real nice one. 1,300 lumens and 33k candela. The pressure switch is tiny but solid, uses Surefire’s plug. And, you can get the weapon light in either long or short configuration. https://www.opticsplanet.com/sig-sauer-sig-sauer-foxtrot-msr-compact-rifle-light.html

Any light recommendations??

I’m very surprised that no one suggested the new Sig Foxtrot-MSR 18650. It’s a Hell of a light. It takes Surefire pressure switches, has 33k candela, 1350 lumens and is very affordable. It’s my new favorite light.

Also waiting on my Ronin Arms suppressor

I understand suppressor clearance. But a 11oz light is wild on a already heavy gun. Sig FOXTROT-MSR compact is near same lumen & candela and is only 3.6oz and also can mount on the rail also, the button is tiny and can mount right on rail where the button on the OWL mounts. Some info for you if you

Weapon lights

Sig Sauer, Foxtrot MSR EDC. I have the fullsize right now, but I plan on getting the stubby to go down in size. Battery doesn't last as long, but it's just as bright. These suckers are bright.

Alternative tape switches

I got a $17 knockoff SR07. It works but visibly drops the brightness of both the M951 and Foxtrot MSR I tried it with.

Suggestions for new build

The Sig foxtrot MSR lights are bright and not bad for the price as they include the mount and pressure switch for $200 MSRP
