Pads with cross d-pads are generally not great for this. Circular d-pads are much better at this. Anything modelled after the Sega Saturn controller tends to be good.

Ignore the number pad and it feels exactly like a standard 3 button Genesis pad. I have totally normal sized hands, it fits hands a billion times better than PS1 pad for example. Nah I use a SEGA Saturn controller for ring racers, D-pad is completely fine if you’re used to it. Stick can be useful in some scenarios but that’s what the lite steer setting is for I guess

Hi there, have you looked into the RetroBit sega saturn controller? It's a carbon copy of the official Saturn pad that can be used with the Polymega. I bought one for my Satirn games and it works a treat!

Ive been using a Sega Saturn controller for about the last 20 years. Ive tried other 6 button pads but none of them are as good IMO for fighting games.

No way this is how I found out it got ported to other consoles besides the 360. Man, I never even knew it was on Switch or Steam. I'll have to wishlist it. There's a newer official USB Sega Saturn controller you can buy, it's pretty cool and I wanted to get it but I don't have much use for 6 seperat
