Your wife, Sanae
The Sega Saturn controller has 6 buttons. It looks like a SNES based rip-off.

“HES USING LOGIC AND MATH! GET HIM!”
This is something that exists for most controllers. The only first-party Hall effect controllers are the Sega Saturn controller, the Dreamcast controller, and the Steam Controller - all the analog sticks Sony and Microsoft have used are potentiometers, as well as every stick Nintendo's used since th

I’m happy with the state of emulation for my needs on iOS, but what I’m not happy with are the state of controllers.
It doesn't have a clamp or mount, but 8bitdo sells a mod kit you can use to turn an original Saturn controller into a bluetooth controller. It only fits the smaller controllers sold in Japan and later in the US, not the original chunky Saturn controllers. https://shop.8bitdo.com/products/8bitdo-mod-

I always wished the Sega Saturn controllers could fit the Genesis.

Maria Mode experience on Sega Saturn
The real problem is the Sega Saturn CONTROLLER. The thing was NOT made for these kinds of inputs. Still a lot of fun with her though, definitely prefer this one over DXC.

NES to USB Adapter not working on MacBook
I bought a replica NES controller and a USB A to USB C adapter and tried but the inputs did not register. That's likely your problem. I've found USB adapters to be picky about anything besides OEM, back-in-the-day controllers. Even stuff like the "officially-licensed by Sega" Saturn controllers by R

Fight stick for non-fighting games on PS5
I have a Haute42 CA-S and a 8bitdo M30 that I use to get around problems that I have with my thumb. They’re both great. Stock d-pads require a pretty significant amount of force to press, and often more so when hitting diagonals. The M30 is the most accurate and gentle d-pad I’ve ever used, and I’ve

Made the transition from stick to leverless
I've only grabbed 2 sega saturn style controllers because the rest had god awful reviews. One was the sega saturn pro controller from retro bit. The buttons are good, but the dpad just sucks ass. It's so stiff. It's legitimately uncomfortable to use for any actual games, even just regular ass rpg's
