OLED vs Glossy Mini-LED — My Experience After Owning and Returning Multiple OLED Monitors (Version 2)

I think I said it in your other post too, but if you get an S95F in there, it would blow any MiniLED out of the water. Heck, maybe even an S90F. You liked your QN90C better than an LG C series because OLED TVs below 55" behave a lot closer to monitors in terms of brightness than their larger variant

Why is my monitor doing this?

Not all VA panels are equal, though. My recommendation is, always check for reviews (thorough ones that show response time measurements), and don't count out VA panels from the get go. For example I have a Lenovo Y34wz-30. And it does have some smearing on lower refresh rates, but at 165 Hz it's ver

VA monitor with no black smearing

Rumor claims Samsung Display is preparing 24-inch and 39-inch QD-OLED panels for 2027

27 inch is perfect for me. I have bad eyes though. Running the original Samsung odyssey g7 1440p curved monitor. It’s a VA panel so doesn’t have the asscheeks IPS bleed. Its response time is high enough I don’t have issues playing comp.

How The Heck Do You Pick One Of These Things...

I wouldn’t go OLED personally. You can maybe expect 3 years of burn-in warranty, and then beyond that you can safely expect some degree of burn-in, whether that manifests as faint vertical lines on your screen in spots where you routinely pin windows, or wherever you have static content. For me, any

Deliberately Burning In My QD-OLED Monitor - 15 Month Update

Samsung Odyssey Neo G7.Very impressed for a backlit VA panel. I'd return to OLED if it was just for gaming and media but while I have need to work at home its a great compromise.

Need a 32-inch 4K+ monitor with high brightness, strong contrast, accurate colors, high refresh rate. Am I being unrealistic?

Not the high end Samsung Neo G7 and G8. I have a Neo G7 and a G80SD side by side and the difference between them, in any aspect, is not big at all. If I could keep only one it would be the Neo G7.

HDR in DLSS 4.5 Preset M - night and day difference, compared to preset K

VA native contrast is fantastic. My Odyssey G7 still looks great next to my OLED monitor (except when showing darker elements). IPS native contrast is trash though.

What monitor/s is everybody rocking ?

55” Samsung Frame - 4K, 120Hz VRR, HDR. Mounted on a wall in my dining room. It literally doubles as a large picture frame. Also, 55” Samsung curved TV that I can stream to in the same living area. Just bought my daughter a Samsung Odyssey G7 27” 4K 144Hz IPS. Outstanding picture quality straight-ou

Mini LED or OLED monitor?

Cheap VAs are ass and have terrible ghosting. High-end (or even just higher-end/we-spent-all-our-money-on-the-panel VAs) like the TCL stuff, Samsung Neo G7, or AOC Q27G40XMN are IMO better all-rounder displays than most IPS options at their price range unless you're doing professional color work and
