The G50D is not a miniled monitor. It does have local dimming but it is just 8 zones. Samsung doesn’t make ips miniled only VA miniled. Their miniled monitors are the odyssey NEO series. I’ve had the G50D myself and returned it after 2 days because of how bad everything looked from colors to blacks

Check out the Samsung Odyssey G50D (27 inch, 1440p, 180Hz). Great colors, super sharp, perfect for a 3060

I have SAMSUNG Odyssey G5 G50D 32" LS32DG500EUXEN (it's the flat IPS, not curved VA version). Very important, is you have to disable dynamic dimming (afaik it was called like that) in the settings. After that it was perfect, zero issues, my camera sees zero flicker. I like the quality and it also ha

Based on your needs — budget IPS 1440p, ~180Hz, great color and responsiveness for fast-paced games like CS2 and COD — here’s a breakdown of the Samsung Odyssey G5 G50D vs the AOC Q27G4X, and a recommendation: ⸻ Samsung Odyssey G5 G50D (2023) • Panel Type: VA (not IPS) • Resolution & Refresh: 1440p

Samsung Odyssey G50D. It's IPS so you know the old washed out blacks issue but i have a perfect calibration setting for everything else. PM if you go with this option and want the settings. I'll share them. Also, usually $249 on sale. Memorial day is coming up. Stick with LG if want a safe OLED bet.

Update: However. I managed to fully fix the issue by installing the new monitor firmware....and then set my "SeeColours" option to Tritan because honestly it kinda looks better to me...more contrast....maybe I really am somewhat colour deficient. https://www.samsung.com/ca/support/model/LS32DG500ENX

That G5 is old, outdated and has poor motion clarity and smearing. It’s over 4 years old. The new G5? Amazing. IPS. 180 hz. Great colors. Fast. Awesome monitor. I use it daily. https://www.bestbuy.com/product/samsung-27-odyssey-g50d-qhd-ips-180hz-1ms-amd-freesync-and-g-sync-compatible-gaming-monitor
