The G50D is not a miniled monitor. It does have local dimming but it is just 8 zones. Samsung doesn’t make ips miniled only VA miniled. Their miniled monitors are the odyssey NEO series. I’ve had the G50D myself and returned it after 2 days because of how bad everything looked from colors to blacks

I paid 550 CAD each for 3x 27" OLED 180Hz 1440p (Samsung Odyssey G5 QD-OLED G50SF). You can upgrade the firmware and they support 10-bit color at 180Hz as well. AMAZING value for the money. There was a deal for 350 each in then US as well. https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcsales/comments/1rc3vla/moni

Samsung Odyssey G50D is a terrible monitor. I had it and hated pretty much everything about it. If you can stretch your budget a bit, the Innocn 27" mini-led fast IPS monitor is one of the best I have used outside of OLED. I was skeptical to try it, but it's 100% worth the extra $100.

It’s not a great monitor. Ghosting and black smearing is pretty bad. The newer 2025 G5 is much better. I use it daily for gaming. IPS. 180 hz https://www.bestbuy.com/product/samsung-27-odyssey-g50d-qhd-ips-180hz-1ms-amd-freesync-and-g-sync-compatible-gaming-monitor-with-hdr-400-displayport-hdmi-blac

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/v7CswY Prices on ddr5 have been spiking the last couple months and it's hard to find things in stock without getting ripped off too bad, the 2x24 and 2x32 I couldn't find a decent price on anything compared to that 2x48 kit (which is amazon uk but says it has free shipp

Go for Samsung Odyssey G5 G50D 32" then. It's 1440p, 165hz and supports HDR10. usually drops below $250 during Black Friday.
