Lots and I mean lots of people have been using the G80SD from Samsung since last year (32" 4K 240hz OLED with Tizen OS) and outside of some technical details (DP1.4 issues with Nvidia that might be fixed after latest driver for example) majority of people absolutely love it because of the matte fini

Yeah honestly a bit surprised. It seems like it’s pretty much still a 4th gen panel? I have the G80SD and I absolutely love it (especially for $599 on the Samsung app), but considering it’s been 2yrs figured they’d have some bigger improvements other than enhanced I/O? I guess DSC is no longer neede

I have both a high end QD-OLED (Samsung G80SD) and an entry level mini led, but still very capable (KTC M27T6). Both are good in HDR, but the OLED pulls ahead in SDR. The picture looks "cleaner" on the OLED due to the better gradation and viewing angles. Here's a funny anecdote : don't forget how th

Running Windows 4.4 on the left looks great, working as intended, HDR and brightness is PERFECT. It's a little brighter and washed out in the screenshot as capturing HDR and it's problems are difficult. Windows 5.0 on the right there as you can see is just darker. Lacking brightness. I can artificia

That's a perfectly valid reason, I just wanted to make sure you weren't forgetting the best option. So to answer your questions : the Samsung uses the same panel as the MSI, so expect similar picture quality however, it has a matte finish, while the other QD-OLEDs are glossy So all in all very simil

I’ve got the Samsung G80SD and it’s great. I know some people would prefer a glossy screen compared to the G80SD’s matte screen, but I’ve got no complaints about it.

And here is my Samsung g80sd at 240hz w/ UFO at 960 pixels/sec : I think when it comes to raw MPRT the Plasma clearly wins, though you can see some ghosting on the pursuit image. I guess you win some you lose some. The difference isn't that huge though that is for sure

I’ve been using the Samsung g80sd - qd-oled 32” 4k 240hz as my only monitor. Work as a cloud engineer 8 hours a day - then gaming for 1-3 hours a day. No issues yet. Text clarity is amazing.

The coating on the G81SF is slightly more aggressive, but you'll only notice this if you have them side by side. For reference, this is text on the G81SF and on the G80SD. It's so hard to tell any differences.
