Lots and I mean lots of people have been using the G80SD from Samsung since last year (32" 4K 240hz OLED with Tizen OS) and outside of some technical details (DP1.4 issues with Nvidia that might be fixed after latest driver for example) majority of people absolutely love it because of the matte fini

That's a perfectly valid reason, I just wanted to make sure you weren't forgetting the best option. So to answer your questions : the Samsung uses the same panel as the MSI, so expect similar picture quality however, it has a matte finish, while the other QD-OLEDs are glossy So all in all very simil

I’ve got the Samsung G80SD and it’s great. I know some people would prefer a glossy screen compared to the G80SD’s matte screen, but I’ve got no complaints about it.

The coating on the G81SF is slightly more aggressive, but you'll only notice this if you have them side by side. For reference, this is text on the G81SF and on the G80SD. It's so hard to tell any differences.

Here is my take having owned both Alienware AW3225QF (glossy qd-oled) and Samsung G80SD (matte qd-oled pretty much identical to yours) Glossy coating does have improved contrast as well as more of that “colour pop” which both are often described as that ‘wet look’ of a glossy Oled display. With that

I hear that the ‘F’ variants released in 2025 are more grainy compared to ‘D’ variants released in 2024, but the G80SD is still a solid matte. I also own Samsung S95F QD-OLED TV which seems to use pretty much the same coating as my monitor and my close friend recently got himself a G81SF (27 inch va

Samsung G80SD, this one has a lighter matte finish compared to the later models according to people here on reddit (not sure if RTINGS confirmed this)

Hey man, I think I’ve got the perfect monitor for you that fixes exactly what you’re dealing with. Go for the Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 (like the G80SD or the newer 2025 G81SD variants—32” 4K is killer, or 27” if you want smaller). It’s literally the only OLED out there with Samsung’s patented Glare-F

Well, first things first, you should buy the 2024 G80SD instead of G81SF. Its matte coating is much better, and, you can access the service menu to do a HDR1000 mod.I can link you the details if needed. G81SF has uglier coating, and service menu is impossible to access. Also, it doesnt have speakers

Why are you looking for matte monitors ? If your room is very bright, OLED isn't the best choice, matte or not. To answer your question: I can vouch for Samsung's "first generation" matte coating, so the one used for the G60SD and G80SD. I heard their newer coating is more grainy. There are also man
