If you boot Proxmox from an SSD, disable these two services to prevent wearing out your drive

i boot from Samsung 970 pro SSD it still has 97% life after 2+ years i did nothing special in terms of logs etc these articles came from a set of scaremongering reddit and forum posts from mainly one individual also people confuse their samsung drive issues with proxmox issues (there was a particula

Low Usage SSD Gone bad - Is this normal

The value 0x4 in the first attribute, Critical Warning, means the 3rd bit is set (bit 2). "If this bit is set to ‘1’, then the NVM subsystem reliability has been degraded due to significant media related errors or any internal error that degrades NVM subsystem reliability." - NVMe specifications. First gaming pc build (recommendations or changes appreciated)

If you do buy used, I only recommend buying from eBay under these conditions: Seller has a high rating, 100% positive Seller has a lot of ratings, generally safe number imo is 100+. If not mistaken, when all four slots are populated, it can’t run at that speed. But it more than meets my needs & fortunately I pur

WD or Samsung for a new SSD?

Have been using Samsung SSD’s since the 840 EVO & PRO without issue, zero failures. Am still using my 970 PRO NVMe on my AM5 system, owned for 4+ years & still 85% lifespan left, although have a 9100 PRO waiting in the wings, sealed for over 2 years now.

This is my first pc build! Did i get the parts right?

damn nice build! that 7800X3D is absolute beast for gaming 🔥 only thing - maybe check if that PSU has enough headroom for the 9070 XT, those cards can be pretty hungry with power also samsung 970 pro is solid choice, i have same one in my setup and never had issues with it 😂
