SSD prices have tripled in 3 years
In 2023 there was a surplus of SSDs and were very cheap. Took advantage to buy a Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1TB for around $60. It isn't available anymore, but I bet it'll cost over $200 if it was today. AI ruined everything.

PCIe 5.0 SSDs are overkill, and manufacturers finally realized most people don't need them
I'm still stuck on PCIe 3 with two Samsung 970 Evo plus. I write stuck, but honestly the SSD speed isn't bottlenecking anything. Maybe if prices where normal, an upgrade would be an option, but there's so little pain using PCIe 3, I'm not even willing to upgrade to PCIe 4

How much RAM needed to run JellyFin on the DXP 4800 Plus/Pro
I have a complete Arr stack, Jellyfin, qbit, cross-seed, etc. (13 containers in total) running on the stock 8gb that came with my Pro and it’s sitting at 3gb ram used. 😂 no EVM ssd please. Crap Western Digital is better. But Black, Blue are better. Not green. My Samsung SSD lasted for long. 840 evo - 11 years still working good. 970 evo plus - 5 years still working good Should have bought 990 Pro. Will wait for price stabilize. Be gentle.
Looks a lot, but everything is full (SSDs are 80%, because after 80% TRIM cannot work optimally), I ran a JellyFin server and some VMs as well.(That's the reason for intel CPU, the iGPU can handle most of the transcoding in the background without me even nothicing a flinch!)
