I have a roborock s8 pro ultra and its great. The integration works well and the vacuum does its job well. You do have to use the roborock app to set it up initially though which can be a dealbreaker for some people though. For me I dont really care as long as I can ditch the app after setup, which

Have also owned roborocks since the S4. The only big downside is IF something does go wrong past their 1 year warranty you’re completely out of luck. Their in house repairs are prohibitively expensive (costs almost as much as a new vacuum). My dock broke for my S8 Pro Ultra at the 13 month mark and

I got a Roborock S8 Pro Ultra (dumb name I know) on special from JB. It's been amazing! I bought one soon after for my parents. I have mostly hard floors and short pile carpets ... theirs is a much newer, thicker carpet so it does struggle a bit for them and make fluff balls. The app and setup is qu

I can only speak about our experiences, but both our previous and current Roborock (S6 MaxV and S8 Pro Ultra) have navigated our apartment flawlessy for a combined 5½ years. Not once got stuck or couldn't find their way back to the dock.

I will 100% switch to Roborock. I have their S8 Pro Ultra and it is, hands down, worth every penny. Honestly, I’m tired of having to rescue my Luba 2 from the front yard when it randomly shuts down or decides to stop charging when it gets back to the station.

TL;DR: In my opinion, the current best way to run a roborock vacuum cleaner in home assistant is this: use the core roborock integration use the custom map integration from https://github.com/Lash-L/RoborockCustomMap use the vacuum map card from https://github.com/PiotrMachowski/lovelace-xiaomi-vacu

The biggest time-savers are gadgets that automate recurring tasks. Robot vacuums like Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or iRobot Roomba Combo j9+ handle vacuuming, mopping, and self-emptying, so you barely touch them. Electric desks such as Uplift V2 Standing Desk help because preset heights make switching pos
