Their stubbornness on using camera based navigation was bad, but then when Amazon was going to buy them I think it also scared off a lot of more tech savvy users. I sold mine and replaced them (S9+/M6) with one Q Revo. Roborock is out here making vacuums with robotic arms that pick up and move thing

Robot vacuum that mops and sweeps. I like my Roborock q revo got one for each floor. Got the second one cheap for like $200 on eBay from the company

any robot vacuum that won’t become a maintenance nightmare? (baby + shedding dog)
Roborock Q Revo or S8 MaxV. Both have self-cleaning brush rolls that dont tangle. Combo mop + vac so you get the tile covered too. Had mine 2 years with two dogs, maybe cut hair out once.

I'm about to check myself in a mental institution
Roborock! I have the Q Revo and so does my MIL and we both love them. No issues so far and mine is about a year old. She’s pretty happy too, they have two dogs so hair piles up fast and the robot does a great job keeping that handled so she isn’t fighting to keep up with the dog fur tumbleweeds.

How do I choose between a $600 and $1,600 robot vacuum in 2026? Not asking which is best, but which removes the most household friction
My Roborock Qrevo S is the best robovac/mop I’ve ever personally owned. It takes very little babysitting and gets unstuck from all kinds of things. It’s less than $400 last I checked. Had 2 Roombas and a separate mopping Roomba before this. Technology has come a long long way since those first Roomb

Three Mop Types Compared: Roller, Spinning, Vibrating
Here's my experience, and it mostly hinges on which machine is built better rather than the type of mopping tech. Best to worst mopping. What are some small (or not so small) luxuries you waited way too long to indulge in?
The Roborock Qrevo Edge S5A. Seemed to be one of the most recommended from my research and was only a $50 difference from the S5V which has less features.
