Ethernet Wiring in a Newly Built Home
Facts. Hell, I'm running my Reolink POE doorbell camera on Cat3 and it looks just fine. I certainly wouldn't have installed it that way, but whoever built my home apparently decided on Cat3 for the doorbell wiring and 5e everywhere else. I'll never understand the thinking of rolling out a separate s

Reolink cameras on a UniFi AI Port.
Yes, and they work really well. I have (had) a Reolink PoE doorbell on one AI Port and two RLC-1224A turrets on a 2nd one. In order to run two cameras, I had to reduce the resolution on them. I just got a G6 Pro Entry and two G6 turrets to replace them. I went full UniFi Protect. Anybody want to buy

What's new in POE doorbell cameras? Large sensor, good image quality, reliable.
I recently installed black Reolink's PoE doorbell camera. It alone works really well showing fine image day & night. I also added two its Chimes which also respond as expected, except the chime's sound volume fell back to default twice in 10 days. However, I wishReolink PoE doorbell camera can work b

I need a camera for my home. A camera that won't record my data and send It to some server.
I had issues with the Reolink Video Doorbell PoE — severe overexposure when motion-triggered lighting kicks in. To be fair, their hardware is decent for the price, but in my experience those “megapixels” don’t hold up against better sensors and image processing from vendors like Axis or Hanwha, even

Any news on compatibility with Reolink?
Of the 14 cameras I’m running with Frigate the POE Doorbell from Reolink is the worst. Like other posters have mentioned, it has very poor configuration options, and the sub stream resolution is very low. I’ve also had mine lock up and require reboots a couple times in the two years I’ve been runnin

Reolink- PoE reliability + IOS Compatibility? Experience/Comments appreciated.
Don't use dome protected cameras in outdoor areas, you will have issues and end up replacing them. Just use the normal models. Buy Duo Elite Floodlight PoE if you can or the Elite xPro which is far better camera (if it is available in your country). These are a must have if you are using them at the

Ring doorbell alternatives without monthly fee?
I have a Reolink PoE doorbell and it's a massive upgrade over the blink it replaced. Just a single cable through the wall for power and data, it's constantly powered so no batteries to replace and being hardwired to the network (not WiFi) there is very little delay. I have a micro SD card in the doo

Advice on HiLook over Hikvision?!
If you want hikvision then buy hikvision, not hilook. Hilook is a watered down version of what Hikvision is. I personally would never buy that crap. But you must know what Hikvision cameras to get of course... Can't get anything, there's cameras and cameras. You want the high end ones. Now, as far a
