Hardware acceleration
Looks like the NAS you have has a 10gb Ethernet card in the only PCIe slot. I wonder if you remove that and put in a quadro t1000 in its place would it work. Qnap does have official driver support for Nvidia GPUs. I run a Tesla p4 (and other lower end quadros) in my ts-873a with no issues. I use it

Moving from a QNAP NAS to TrueNAS
I actually installed TrueNAS onto my QNAP TS 873A hardware. The hardware supports 2x NVMe M.2. I installed TrueNAS OS onto one of these. I have a large USB external drive. QNAP ZFS is a weird proprietary version. I copied the QNAP data onto the USB drive. Created a TrueNAS ZFS pool (RAIDZ2). Populat
