I have 10TB worth of torrents, unlimited gigabit fiber internet and Surfshark VPN. How do I seed more?

Get proton, pia, airvpn, torguard or any other vpn that allows port forwarding. This is your limiting factor. Also look how to bind the vpn interface to qbittorrent from advanced settings.

No seeding on private trackers

Oftentimes private trackers see less traffic than public trackers because people are wary of their ratio so they don’t download as much. Traffic often increase during freeleech. Also, nordvpn doesn’t allow port forwarding, you should chose another vpn like proton or pia. If you don’t forward your po

New to Torrenting

Get a reputable client, qbittorent is what I use and it works great. Combine with a reputable VPN that has port forwarding (I know of PIA and Proton, but there's probably more). In your torrent client set its Network Interface to your VPN, this makes it impossible for torrents to occur unless your V

Autorenew is a scam with everyone - in this case NordVpn

For me it's Proton because it supports P2P. Mullvad is great too, though. Mullvad, Proton and PIA Are the holy trinity of good VPN's imo

Been binding my VPN to qBittorrent but my Mom has still been getting notices and I am now cut off from the internet...

I recommend PIA (privateinternetaccess). They dont keep logs so no one can get youre info if they sue them, they also support split tunnel natively which allows what you are doing with binding to the vpn. Its just a setting in the app. I have always used them and I dont get notices ever. Also pretty

Is anyone actually getting into legal trouble nowadays for downloading music?

First of all, a lot of users will block you on SoulSeek if you aren't sharing anything and it's also dick move to download and not upload back. Why don't you use a VPN service that offers port forwarding like PIA VPN? Just run a script to update your port number when it randomly changes.

I think I need a new VPN provider.

PIA support port forwarding but it's a real pain to set it up... I ended up with proton vpn, it was more easier to get the Conf file cause they provided an online tool for that... Also Found a step by step guide on another sub, let me know if you're interested, i'll post the link for you

Can someone please point me to a braindead easy guide on setting up Gluetun, PIA, and Qbit on a TrueNAS server?

I've been using: https://hub.docker.com/r/qmcgaw/gluetun for a few years now with great success. Moved from nordvpn to pia to protonvpn and they all work just fine. My yaml: services: gluetun: image: qmcgaw/gluetun container_name: gluetun cap_add: - NET_ADMIN devices: - /dev/net/tun:/dev/net/tun ports

What's the point of port forwarding when PIA rotates IPs?

PIA haven't announced anything, that's the problem. They've been quietly making this change for the last couple months and only a handful of people here have brought it up... https://www.reddit.com/r/PrivateInternetAccess/comments/1taw5pa/while_connected_to_pia_i_have_multiple_exit_ips/ and https://www.redd

PIA for qbittorent good?

I've been running PIA for years now with no issues. I run it from Windows Server 2025 and qbittorrent installed. Also, I run it with a split tunnel and have only qbittorrent run through the VPN. So far, after many years and GBs, everything is good.
