I’ve been using PIA myself, and it works great for Minecraft, my ping only goes up by about 10ms with the VPN on. I haven’t tested it with any other game yet, so I can’t say how it performs there.

You can make an exit node somewhere and have that exit node go through a commercial VPN at the router level. IDK why you wouldnt just use the Mullvad addon though. Its simple and cheap. I have a sub for the add on and PIA. I dont even bother with PIA, MUllvad is just better.

If you want a reliable VPN alternative, PIA is Canadian owned :) Edit: I have been informed that I was incorrect and it is in fact owner by a UK company called Kape Technologies PLC. Better than supporting American right now, but still not ideal. Maybe look at another solution :)

👆👆 this is the way 👆👆 I made the switch as well and life has been great with PIA. OP - This issue is pretty common with VPN’s in general with google.

I am in the US, and the Play Store tells me it is not available in my country, which is weird. I am using an unlocked Pixel 9 Pro XL. [Update]: I used a VPN (PIA) to put me in another US state (Main had a low ping so I used that one) and went back to the PlayStore. It worked right away.
