A little update on this after getting home: Not the most desirable solution but proton vpn browser ext works better than PIA. Free version is adequate for now.

I use PIA VPN and pay the extra for a dedicated IP and it works a treat on all my devices, including Apple TV for watching F1.

Hey I know this post is a bit dated but PIA just released a new updated iOS app of PIA the other day and it fixed my login issue with the PIA vpn as I could login on all myOther devices except 2 iPhones, as of today I was able to login finally!!
