I own a Pocketbook Inkpad Color 3 and I love my device. I had in the past Kindle for many years and my wife has a Kobo, so I know other brands very well. Pocketbook devices have good quality and the software works without problems. The best thing is that with the Pocketbook app you can sync your boo

8" InkPad 4. For manga applies the bigger the better, I use it daily for reading manga. Even bigger devices would get less handy and you would have to look into Android ereaders (of which there are a couple out there). The colour tech unluckily has disadvantages for colour content, for manga (and bo

I prefer using PocketBook InkPad Color 3 more, because there are no distractions and it's a better device for reading.

I have been using PocketBook InkPad Color 3 for more than a year. The device is great, especially if you really need the color screen. Also, I have a newer and lighter Boox Go 7 with BW screen. PocketBook feels more consisted and polished device. Yes, it offers way less features than Boox and slower

Both are solid choices for escaping Amazon's ecosystem, but here's the key difference: PocketBook runs on Linux and natively supports more formats out of the box (including EPUB, MOBI, PDF, DJVU, and many others) without conversion. Kobo is more restrictive with native formats but has excellent inte

Have you considered PocketBook? They have a few really nice color e-readers you might like. Check out the Era Color, InkPad Color 3, or Verse Pro Color. I use mine for studying all the time. Best to avoid Kindle imo, it is too restrictive.

Maybe the PocketBook InkPad Eo 10.3″ Color E‑Ink Reader. It’s the largest PocketBook I can think of. So it’d be a nice display for children’s books. If it’s too big for you, you could go with the PocketBook InkPad Color 3 7.8″. Let us know what you choose

If you want to stay with PocketBook, I’d go with the PocketBook InkPad 4 (or InkPad Color 3), the 7.8″ screen makes a big difference for reading news and long articles, and it handles multiple formats without conversion. It’s probably the best balance in their lineup right now.

Idk about manga and comics, I read novels for the most part so keep that in mind with my recommendations. I've used: a Kindle Paperwhite (signature) 11th gen; Kindle Colorsoft (signature); Pocketbook Verse Pro Color; Pocketbook InkPad Color 3 I've since sold my Paperwhite in favor of my Colorsoft. A

If you're concerned about the performance, it makes sense to consider Onyx Boox Go Color 7 (Gen II). I have the B&W version of this device and PocketBook InkPad Color 3. I use them both with KOReader. While PocketBook is a much better device for reading regular books (it feels much more polished and
