Kindle Is Making It Harder to Switch to Rival eReader Brands

I had to google Streisand effect, lol! I don't know how it's related, but in this case Amazon had to give that announcement because if they were tricky about it, people would have been far more upset, and in fact, it is really a change in user agreement. Fortunately for me, my actual kindle purchase

PocketBook releases "new" device: PocketBook Verse Light

I find it much less interesting than the Verse (or the Pro). Besides what was already mentioned by the OP, it only displays 212 dpi and has less features for loading ebooks (lacks, apparently, the PocketBook Cloud, Dropbox, Send-to-PocketBook). Edit: I was wrong, since it does have the cloud and dro

Kobo Clara BW vs Pocketbook Verse Pro

I did the same. After buying a PocketBook InkPad 4 I enjoy it so much, I bought a Verse Pro Color. Using them with KOReader made it even more enjoyable (after the learning curve). PS. I did my own sleep screens.

Thoughts on Pocketbook Era?

I've been using PocketBook InkPad 3 Color for more than a year. The main complain is the Kaleido 3 screen. Carta 1200 or 1300 are way better. As for other aspects, PocketBook is a great device for reading.

Help me choose pls (kindle vs kobo vs iPad mini)

It's an unpopular opinion here, but I prefer to do most of my reading on an iPad. I have an older Kindle e-ink, and a newer Pocketbook e-ink, and find the iPad Mini more comfortable. I prefer the ability to do continuous scrolling as I read, and being able to change the background color and font col

Cheap E-readers for Manga?

The best and cheapest would be buying an Android tablet. You will get the best bang for your buck and millions of colours (instead of 4096 on colour ereaders) when looking at a coloured page. There's no best and cheap in the realm of ereaders. Every inch more will make the device more costly, for ma

eReader Erfarungen

HELP ME DECIDE!!!

If you had asked a question around this topic before buying the Kobo Clara Colour, I possibly would have recommended to buy a Kobo Clara BW for books and a 8" InkPad 3 Color for comics (alternatively an 8" e-tablet or a cheap big Android tablet, but definitely not an 7" device). Alternatively the Ko

Digital Minimalism

Reads a bit more like digital frugality. And there's nothing wrong with that. I've bought my iPhone 13 mini shortly before they were discontinued, so it should last me a looong time, given I set it up to not do anything in the background etc.My OLED wallpapers are solid black, too :) It reminds me o

Digital Minimalism

Eink was definitely a game changer for me.I chose PocketBook mainly for their modified Linux OS. And, in case of the InkPad Lite, the display size (PPI is surprisingly not as bad as I expected it to be). Even before I started using OLEDs, I came back to solid dark grey wallpaper on my desktop.
