All the Ereaders I want to buy are sold out!

The Sage appears to be completely discontinued; it's been out of stock for months everywhere. Have a look at the PocketBook InkPad 4. It's an 8 inch black and white 300 ppi reader with physical page buttons like the Sage. Effortless sideloading just like Kobo, it even has an email-to-device function

E-reader recommendations

Consider also PocketBook Era or InkPad 4. They allow uploading books using USB and File Explorer, or with internet options. They are a bit slow though.

New e-reader recs, best for side loading

Ereaders don't get released every year like phones, so new is very relative. 6'' Kobo Clara BW (or 6'' PocketBook Verse Pro if you are willing to accept a lower contrast), 7'' PocketBook Era, 8'' PocketBook InkPad 4 or 8'' Kobo Sage are I would say your options if you want a non-Android black & whit

Pocketbook InkPad 4 cant detect USB drive

PocketBook advertises OTG, but in practice the InkPad models are quite picky: I think most only work with small, low‑power sticks and often only with FAT32, not large 256 GB exFAT drives. I’m not with my PBip4 right now, but I’ll try later and let you know what works (or not) with mine.

Help Me Decide

PocketBooks have good PDF support, but you should avoid PDF as much as possible, they are the worst book format available (if you even can count it as one). Just download them again, don't hassle with book conversations. Reflow in PDF is possible on PocketBooks (look this up), but if a PDF consists

A case for PocketBook Verse Lite - My impressions

It's unluckily just a side-grade I would say, since it's for the most part still the same device (since it's the same screen), but depending on how important warm light is to you, I guess it's still worth it... I guess? And I even would not underestimate buttons, I seems that I use them even more ov

Stuck deciding between the Kobo Clara BW and the PocketBook Verse Pro

If you want the best contrast, the Kobo Clara BW is better (visible in direct comparison). Verse Pro is stuck at Carta 1000 and the Clara has Carta 1300 (PocketBook Era btw. has Carta 1200 & an inbuilt speaker, also buttons on the side and isn't that much more expensive than the Verse Pro). PocketBo

People with experience with both Kobo Clara BW and Pocketbook Verse Pro, which do you prefer?

Four months later I now have a PocketBook Verse Pro (blue frame), a PocketBook Era Sunset Copper (64GB, copper frame) and an InkPad 4 (silver frame). And I sold the Kobo Clara BW (to get the Era). PocketBooks offer more features, don't need Calibre + plugins to fix metadata related stuff, no need to

I need your help to finally replace my kindle!

Regarding Kobo: the problem is that the only fitting device for your needs would be the Clara BW (which doesn't have buttons, but is still a decent device nonetheless). The Libra 2 is discontinued, you only get the 7" Libra Colour at that size, and the Sage - while having buttons and is b/w - is way
