budget ereader advice: pocketbook basic lux 4?

I don't know how "blue" the light on the Basic Lux is, but I guess not that blue since you can't change colour temperature (just a guess). The standard Verse can adjust colour temperature, and since you can keep an ereader for years, whatever you pay more will in the long run be not even that much.

budget ereader advice: pocketbook basic lux 4?

Do you need buttons? If not, I suggest also considering the Pocketbook Verse Lite. I made a post recently about it. Yes, Pocketbook has a browser so you can access internet on it. As for fan fiction, you might need something with more speed. A secondhand Kobo will likely help with that. Edit: How do

Ereader with dictionary capabilities?

To further worsen (or slightly better) your choice paralysis, the only devices which don't come with warm light capabilities are the Kindle Basic, the PocketBook Verse Lite & the Verse Basic Lux 4 (all 6"). Dictionary support should be standard in any case. Besides this, you can look for any 6" - 7

Very casual reader. Which affordable ereader to buy?

I am once again in here shilling for the Pocketbook Verse. The Lite and the Basic Lux 4 are a little cheaper, but features wise you're probably better of shelling out the extra $20 usd for a Verse or a Kobo Clara BW, which also looks like it would suit your needs: depends on which set of features yo

kobo bw or pocketbook verse

The Pocketbook you can send by mail or with Dropbox. The Kobo you can use send.djazz.se. I haven't tried that one yet. For mine the browser on the Kobo is better than the Pocketbook. I have a Kobo Clara Colour and had a Pocketbook Basic Lux 4.

Looking for a reliable and future-proof Ereader

Help! Can't log in to Pocketbook Cloud, says password is invalid!

Same here — I literally bought a PocketBook Basic Lux 4 one hour ago, tried to sign into PocketBook Cloud and
boom, “invalid password” 😅 Thought I was doing something wrong, but now it looks like the whole PocketBook Cloud is acting up. QR login times out, email login doesn’t accept the password, a

Why doesn't any company make a real barebones e-reader?

i was on this same wavelength a while back. the issue is margins - a stripped down model barely costs less to make but sells for way less, so companies skip it. the closest i found that hits your marks (no light/touch/wifi) is the PocketBook Basic Lux 4. it has physical buttons, no touch, and you ca

eReader with warmlight

Any current device but the Kindle Basic, PocketBook Verse Lite & PocketBook Basic Lux 4 (which all don't have the possibility to change colour temperature). Kobo & PocketBooks are relatively open systems (support DRM-free & Adobe DRM protected books), Kindles slightly restricted (Kindle books can on

Tired of Kindles laggy, sluggish UI

I got fed up with the slow interface and the ads on my Kindle, and while I primarily read on my iPad, I ended up getting a PocketBook for an e-ink option. It's very simple, no ads, easy to load via USB, and easy to use. They have a couple options but the Basic Lux 4 is the one I have.
