They are quite similar but the Verse is only slightly better. The Verse has USB-C, warm light, a bigger battery, which the Basic Lux 4 doesn't have. However, the Verse is also much heavier. This great site breaks down the differences: https://comparisontabl.es/e-readers/?product1=PocketBook+Basic+Lu

I replaced my Kindle with a Pocketbook and it can do this. It's light, good quality screen, quick and responsive. There is a send-to-email service, or it can connect to Dropbox to download books. I prefer the USB connection to computer for transferring books, but it is not the only option. I have th

Maybe the Basic Lux 4 from PocketBook, if you can find it. It's the predecessor of the PocketBook Verse, the only differences are afaik different buttons and a Micro USB port instead of USB-C. There's also the PocketBook Verse Lite (which I wouldn't recommend because of lower battery capacity, no po

The most important missing feature on the Basic Lux 4 would be no colour temperature regulation for when reading at night. It's basically a slightly different designed PocketBook Verse without night light & USB-C. KOReader is very easy to install on a PocketBooks. Then there's the Tolino Shine, whic

i went through this with my own grandma last year. the PocketBook Basic Lux 4 is a solid choice. it has physical page-turn buttons which she found way more intuitive than touchscreens, and you can load books via SD card or just drag-and-drop from a computer like a USB drive. the interface is really

To further worsen (or slightly better) your choice paralysis, the only devices which don't come with warm light capabilities are the Kindle Basic, the PocketBook Verse Lite & the Verse Basic Lux 4 (all 6"). Dictionary support should be standard in any case. Besides this, you can look for any 6" - 7

Same here — I literally bought a PocketBook Basic Lux 4 one hour ago, tried to sign into PocketBook Cloud and… boom, “invalid password” 😅 Thought I was doing something wrong, but now it looks like the whole PocketBook Cloud is acting up. QR login times out, email login doesn’t accept the password, a

I got fed up with the slow interface and the ads on my Kindle, and while I primarily read on my iPad, I ended up getting a PocketBook for an e-ink option. It's very simple, no ads, easy to load via USB, and easy to use. They have a couple options but the Basic Lux 4 is the one I have.

The best one is the one that best fits your needs, there's no best ereader out there. And don't let anybody tell you otherwise. If you want a PocketBook, possibly look into the PocketBook Verse Pro, it has a better resolution than the Basic Lux 4 (which is basically just a PocketBook Verse without U
