Switching to Lumix S1RII (or S1II) for professional photography?

I sold all my Sony gear and switched to the S1R2 The ergonomics are better Image stabilization is best in class Image quality has some magic Hybrid zoom for video is insane, giving you a lot of versatility with lenses and the s1RII It's a true Photo /Video powerhouse, don't let the "rolling shutter"

Leica SL lenses on Lumix S1RII: Getting that Leica look? Sample images?

In short: Sensor won’t change the characteristics of the lens. Leica stuff is largely rebranded Panasonic stuff (largely, not all!) A Leica SL2 I believe is the same as the S1R.i, and I believe the LUMIX S Pro lenses are the same build / design as the equivalent Leica lenses in that category, coatin

Nikon Z8 vs Lumix S1R II – Anyone shot both? Which would you choose any why?

I’ve used the Z9 (and Z6III) for professional motorsports and portrait work. I also owned an S1RII for my personal camera that I have now sold and replaced with a Z8. If you are shooting Raw and processing in Lightroom they are a toss-up for colors, noise and dynamic range. Literally so close it wou

Colors and Image of the S1II compared to S1H, S1R2 and S5II

I think the S1RII has more lovely colors. However, both the Z8 and Z6III have nicer skin tones (at least when shooting in Prores Raw N-log). You can't get the perfect camera sadly. By exemple, the Z8 is big and the photos from this camera are not as sharp as the S1RII, I don't know why. Same for the

Should I sell my D850?

Just to say thank you to the OP and to this thread. I'd been on the fence for months between the Z7ii and the Lumix S1Rii to replace/augment a Fuji X-H2 and a D800e (in use since 2012 with Zeiss ZF.2 glass for primarily landscape). Reading this thread at 5:00 this morning, the clear advantages of st

Lumix S1Rii or Canon R5ii

The S1RII is the better camera in 90% of cases, but it sounds like your needs might lie within that other 10%. The Canon will be vastly better for fast moving and distant subjects, animal autofocus, and thermal management (critical for shooting outdoors). There’s also a lack of options for super tel

Nikon Z8 vs Lumix S1R II – Anyone shot both? Which would you choose any why?

I have both but also the S1II and I just sold my Z6III. I wanted to sold my Z8 too but I'm not sure since the new firmware update of the S1RII. I thought we would get 8K Prores Raw but it is still cropped. The truth is the Z8 has better video quality than the S1RII since it can record in full frame P

What's the point of having different prime lens with similar focal length?

There a few different choices, you could have a zoom lens with a variable aperture, which means your f stop decreases as you zoom. This restricts utility of a lens a little bit, where you can't use a particular focal length with an aperture you want on that lens. So to resolve this, you can get a pr

EF to L adapter with continuous autofocus on S1Rii…

Part of the issue with AFC on Lumix S1RII and other cameras is the speed of the focus motors on the older EF glass. Sigma's adapter. https://www.sigma-global.com/en/accessories/mc-21/ Checking the lens compatibility list with their own lenses (no other lenses tested by Sigma), all of them state AFS
