Over-processed image of the S5iix / S1ii ?

By all accounts you can get a more organic image by shooting Pro-Res and Raw formats, but these come with huge file sizes. H264 and H265 file sizes are so much more reasonable for so many workflows - and I have also noticed the difference going from an S1 / S1H to an S5II. Up-voting this because its

S1IIe - who is considering buying it?

I think the problem with the s1iie was clear from the leaks even before the official announcement; it's "just" a suped up s5iix.The s5ii/x has been on the market for a couple of years which means that it's had a couple of years' worth of price reductions. You can buy one in the UK for less than £2k

Testing the clip-in Kolari OLPF on my LUMIX cameras (LUMIX S1 ii / S5)

Panasonic needs to give S1ii a firmware update with - 1 sharpness settings. Im happy Ed is drawing attention to this.

Lumix S1 IIE Discontinued!

They priced the S1II too high. If it was made by Sony or Canon the price would make sense for the features offered, but Lumix needs market share and needed to be aggressive. It’s really tough to convince people to leave their brand and lens collection, and almost impossible if you’re significantly m

Turn off noise-reduction in video for S1 II, S1R II and other models?

It really is mind boggling why they've decided to go that way regarding the processing of the image. Especially since they got it absolutely spot-on right with their original S cameras. I own and use S1, S1H and S1 II and that particular aspect is rather painful when you compare footage. However, I

Anyone else finding the S1II can give some weird colours at times?

I own or owned lot of Panasonic full frame and m43 cameras. To my eyes, the S1II has the worse colors, by example a lot of time when I look at my footage, I think the greens look off and it is not only because of the white balance. The S5II had nicer colors on my opinion, the first firmware of this c

Help me choose: Lumix S9 or Sony A7C Mark II for photography?

Yeah basically what you said but it all really depends. Lack of lenses for Canon can be a big deal but if someone like me can live basically with 24mm and 50mm primes then Canon has those covered. I really like their color science and now reviewing my footage from Canon R8 I think it produced best q

Panasonic just announced firmware 1.2 for the S1II, S1RII, and firmware 1.3 for the S1IIe. We already put it to the test.

Good for you. Unfortunately, having a camera that doesn’t overheat means more to me when I’m shooting events that can’t be reshot. I need a camera that’s reliable in a professional setting. Again, it’s just disappointing coming from a long lumix only shooter. The same things that I would rave to peo

S1II 60fps 14-bit RAW?

That's true. I think Panasonic could be a bit more serious about sports/wildlife, especially with the S1II existing. M43 has the 50-200 f2.8-4, 100-400 (2 versions), and 200 f2.8 from only Panasonic. They definitely have the know how. Also it would help showcase the modern Lumix AF.
