The claim that S5 IIx is the same but full frame is not factually correct. GH7 is positioned in a different class in bounds of MFT compared to where S5 IIx is in full frame Panasonic product portfolio for a start. GH7 outperforms S5 IIx in multiple speed related specs, such as 4K 120 FPS video or 4K

I am enjoying the system a lot. My favourite focal length is the 24-70mm FF equivalent. I love that lens on my camera is as big as a 50mm FF lens. Plus I know for a fact that it is not my camera or lenses that are limiting me to create better pictures. I will only consider switching if the camera or

This looks great! I’m in the Panasonic ecosystem. I mostly film weddings but aspire to do more narrative. This is a big deal, following a major motion picture shot on DSLR like the Sony FX3 with The Creator. This is even more unexpected though. Maybe a trend that’s beginning as a result of the death

Popping in again, maybe you've decided already, maybe this'll help someone else with a similar question. After playing around with the footage I've captured from the GH7 and comparing it to my S5II, as well as an S1IIE I rented for another project, what I've come to is that in non-perfect situations

The S5II kit 20-60 isn't the sharpest wide open. It also isn't the fastest. The difference in DOF between Full frame and MFT is 2 stops of aperture. A Panasonic 10-25 F1.7 would actually give you a shallower depth of field and more light than the 20-60. But that is a big expensive lens, and the GH7

Don’t do it. I have an OM5 and an A7CII. OM5II isn’t appropriate for your needs. OM3, OM1II, G9II and GH7 are the only MFT cameras I would use for any amount of professional video, because they’re the only cameras with modern autofocus. However you will have to buy expensive $1,400 f1.2 lenses if yo

I've had good luck in good light with the Lumix GH7 and the Panasonic/Leica 100-400/4-6.3 II recently. (I have used Nikons all of my life and have a 200/2.0 and 400/2.8 - D3, D4s, etc.) Way lighter and gets it done. It allows me to take something that my iPhone can't do in a convenient enough size t

I bought the FP about two weeks ago and absolutely love it, but I don’t trust it for professional shoots (video) yet, it needs a lot more testing. I have found it misbehaving in how it writes the files, particularly raw files onto both SD cards and SSDs. Working on them straight in DaVinci, files ar

I bought a lightly used Blackmgic Pocket Cinema Camerea 4k as well as a used Panasonic®️Lumix®️ GH7. I did both Micro Four Thirds based units for all the reasons you cited in your post plus more. GH7: is better in low light; Pristine stereo audio from the built-in mics and audio preamplifier. — I mean

The same limitations of small sensors—poor low-light, depth of field is way deeper than on larger sensors. I don’t like MFT glass in general, which means manual glass, which begs the question why you would purchase cinema glass for MFT. Apparently the GH7 has decent autofocus, but there has been no
