Smallest micro four thirds body ever--the GM1 from 2013, size of a deck of cards--combined with one of the fastest-longest lenses on system, the Voigtlander f0.95 60mm. The lens is amazing. I actually use it on my GH7. P.S. Panasonic, please make another ultra compact MFT body!

Disclosure: I own the G9 II and shoot on GH7's and FX30's for work. I'm gonna have some bias towards the Panasonic offering so take this with a grain of salt. The G9 II is probably the closest you can get in the Lumix lineup at a cheaper price point. It's currently on sale at Amazon for 1.6k body on

No point for M43 to compete in areas where it's 100% losing out. Better to focus on it's strengths like portability and good enough image quality. As others have mentioned, once you factor in equivalence everything falls apart. Lenses like the 8-25 and 40-150 f4 are great examples that embody the M4

I don't have the GH7, but I've got an S5iix. While I do love the camera and I knew that L mount lenses weren't quite as available as some of the competition (Sony in particular), I do feel like the amount of lenses available and the price of them is at least a bit more detrimental than I thought. This is my first system and I’ve been loving it over the past year and a half. It is a little stagnant lately, but with that said on the Panasonic side, they do have 2 incredibly powerful cameras at the top of the line. The G9ii (I have this) and the GH7 are incredible. The biggest gripe seems to be

Ahhhh now your comment makes alot more sense lol. I’m sorry for going at you like I did. Ya that’s a much more difficult situation for sure. I won’t lie, I used BMD and Panasonic cameras (I’ve owned everything else and this is where I landed) and I haven’t been disappointed. I do multicam setups wit

At least for M43, Panasonic’s newer cameras are either kinda middling (G100) or well-specced but bulky (GH7, G9ii). Seems like the preference is for smaller/lighter bodies with good features/IBIS, and Oly/OM just covers that better. That said, go check the used prices for the GX and GM lines, people

I was on Panasonic's M4/3 system for most of my kit and had a single FF of their S series (with real sweet Leica lenses). Someone broke into my car and stole all my kit. So when it came to replacing I just went FF on everything. Especially since the S5iiX body is actually smaller and lighter than th

I've bought too much to list over the years. What I've kept is a good mirrorless camera with a fast f-stop lens. I recently did a review of the Boya magic microphone and I'm switching over to that from a rode wireless Go II. The noise cancellation is really good. It's not a perfect microphone lackin

You get the tool that you like to use, and that you want to pick up. If that’s MFT then it is. I faced same dilemma and went gh7 which is basically the g9ii and absolutely love it. Smaller lenses is so underrated, and you can get Leica lenses right from Panasonic. Get the tool that you want to take
