Where can I grind whole coffee beans in Seattle today?

You're right. Skip the $25 grinder and go straight to the $100 OXO Brew Conical Burr grinder.

Grinder options for Cup One

Check out ebay, Facebook marketplace, or maybe even Craigslist for used Baratza Encore grinders. They're ~$150 new but can be had used for half that and will last a very long time. Speaking from experience, it's a great grinder and parts are both very easy to order through their website and affordab

Daily General Discussion Thread (2026-06-19)

I went with the OXO compact conical burr grinder. Didn’t want a huge one taking up a ton of space. There’s better grinders out there, but for the price, the performance is good enough for the Moccamaster. It’s not as loud as I’d thought it would be too. For the Moccamaster, you want the grounds to b

Got gifted a bag of coffee beans, where can I get them ground?

Get your own burr grinder; cheapest one that's still extremely good is the OXO Brew Conical Burr Coffee Grinder for about $150 new. And once you start grinding your own coffee, you'll never go back because you'll be able to dial in the precise setting that you like.

What am I doing wrong?

I have an OXO conical burr grinder, I think it was $70-$80 ('twas a gift), and it has worked splendidly, though I admit I have little to reference it against. After some casual research, I've found the OXO that I own isn't great for much finer grinds and very course grinds, but for Moka it seems to

Struggling to use

OXO Control conical grinder. I have to run it twice to get all the beans ground. I think most people who use it just grind a lot more, take their one or two scoops out as needed; top off the reservoir except so often

Oxo Brew Manual Coffee Grinder

Update. I pulled the trigger & have been using the OXO Brew Manual Coffee Grinder for 10 days now and it's been great. It has Stainless Steel Conical Burrs & a large (40 gram) capacity so I can use it with the Aeropress XL. The grind size is even more uniform than my son's commandante C40. (We did a

Recommendations for Entry-Mid Electric Grinders Mainly Pour Over

The Baratza Encore ESP is probably the standard rec for this range, and the company makes its replacement parts readily available. The Fellow Opus also comes highly recommended but is much newer, so there are some questions about its durability. Unfortunately, they're American companies, so I'm not

Grinder choice

Fellow Ode Gen 2 is fantastic. Before this grinder, I had an Oxo Brew conical grinder which was fine, but the Ode is much much more consistent in grind size.
