E-M10iv vs GX85 - why does the GX85 get all the love?

It's kind of a myth. I just upgraded from the E-M10ii to the Mark iv, and the only feature missing is MySets, which I never used. They also took away the ability to customize a couple of the buttons, but they added more functionality to the d-pad. The d-pad now behaves very similarly to the one on t

Panasonic Lumix GX85 vs Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV

I left M43 & want to come back. Looking at these 2 cameras. If I bought the GX-85 @ Best Buy I would get 2 year Insurance included since I’m Total Tech. If I bought the Olympus I would buy @ B&H Photo. Main focus is from a photography stand point and not so much video, but 4k on both gets me excited

Should I trade my gx85 for an e-m10 IV?

Hi! Thanks for the reply! When I look at some of my gx85 images I'm not particularly happy with the SOOC JPG colors. Others have said olympus has better JPG processing and I'm currently trying to find some comparisons right now haha. The extra 4mp in theory should allow me to crop a bit more and i li

How much worse is the OM5 menu system compared to the EM10iv and the OM1?

Don't have it but my understanding is the main complaint is the OM-1 got a new updated menu system. Then later when the OM-5 came out, it retained the old "Olympus" menu system, essentially giving you a warmed over E-M5.3 with a new name. So if you are OK with the menu on the EM10iv then you will be

Why can't I just get this in digital

Minus the viewfinder, the Olympus E-P7 kinda fits the bill. With the viewfinder, Olympus E-M10 IV. Both great cameras, IMO better controls than old manual film cameras. None of the cameras you have in this photo are pocketable. The lens element always protrudes too much. Only something like the Rico

Need some advice on choosing an entry level body

Google E-M10 II vs E-M10 III vs E-M10 IV. Basically, they simplified it and removed some of the camera controls. I think they added a few things back for the IV. Quick google search: "People choose the Olympus E-M10 Mark II over the Mark III for its superior customizability, better build quality (me

Suggestion: MFT that will make me get back to/enjoy photography again

Yeah, very similar. The EM1s I think are too big. I also heard the instead of Em10 one can just go with EM5 bc the price isnt that different and you get weathersealing etc. I dont know about the Em10 IV specifically though. PL9 is nice bc its so small, the handling I guess is a personal matter, mayb

Suggestion: MFT that will make me get back to/enjoy photography again

First, let me say that if you don't need really long or really wide lenses, the Lumix LX100 ii is a gem of an everyday carry camera. The lens is pro quality and pretty fast at f/2.8. It is about the same size and weight as your E-PL9. The LX100 series was made in cooperation with Leica, and each com

One Way ➡️

Captured this on a trip. I've been learning photography for about 4/5 weeks now and think I vibe with B&W more than colour. I liked how the building/urban left with a camera has a stop indicator on it while the arrow pushes you to look more towards the trees/nature. Using an Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark
