I loved my nuobells - I don’t drop weights so can’t speak to durability if you’re throwing them around but I never had a problem otherwise. The handles are thicker than standard but it wasn’t ever an issue for me. Quick change ability is amazing. They are pricey though.

I have no regrets with my nuobells, I could buy three pairs by the time I am even close to the cost of a full set of non adjustable. If they ever break I am buying rep-peppin.

For that price, I'd go with the Smrtft Nuobells. I have the 5-80s + the heavy duty stand and got it all in for around $1k. Also only takes up the floor space of what 2 dumbbells on a stand would.

If space and budget arent an issue go with fixed. At the end of the day, the best adjustables are all trying to mimic the durability and feel of fixed dumbbells. However, if you want to save space/monies go with adjustables. Powerblocks/reppins are very durable/reliable. The ones that mimic dumbbell

TLDR; bowflex is booty, way better options out there for near same price, and my Mx Select Evo 100's have been great. Yeah idk where you hear Bowflex if you're searching from the past 5 years. Eisenlinks (patent-expired, cheaper Ironmasters) and Evo MXSelect are the top dogs for budget adjustable DB
