My birthday is coming up and I want an eReader but I'm overwhelmed with choices. Any personal favourites or suggestions?
Device Reasoning (ignore this section unless you're curious) - Kobo Libra H2O (I see one in pretty nice condition for $145 on eBay. It's an older device than the Libra 2, but it still serves pretty well.)- Kindle Paperwhite 6, also sometimes called the 12th gen (I'm going to go ahead and rule this o

Help me read at night!
I have been a pretty big reader most of my life but convincing myself to read in bed was always really hard for me, shifting back and forth to catch the light from a lamp or re adjusting a clip on light every few pages drove me nuts. I got a nook glowlight 4e and have never read so much in my life.

How are the current Nook devices?
I absolutely adore my Glowlight 3. I’ve had one issue within the past couple weeks of a book that I bought is causing the system crash repeatedly. Support was not able to help me, so I’m currently reading it on my husband‘s glow light 4 plus. I personally find the glow light plus a little too large

Love Glowlight 4 Plus & what I’m reading
Thanks for the positive post, love seeing happy Nook people besides myself. Been a Nook user since Day 1. I’ve had all of the e-ink versions except for any of the 4 series. Been debating upgrading to the GlowLight 4 Plus from my OG GlowLight Plus. But been trying to hold out for the rumors about new

do i need a nook case?
The GlowLight 4+ cases are now 60% off. There's not too many to choose from, but for $10 you can't go wrong. https://www.barnesandnoble.com/b/shop-nook-glowlight-4-plus-accessories/_/N-2xz9?Ns=P_Publication_Date%7C1

Easiest/cheapest?
The Nook GlowLight 4 can be had for VERY cheap on the used market. Probably because the software is fucking god awful. So long as you're okay using a computer to transfer ebooks, it's a great option, although I would install KOReader to it. You can pick them up for like $60, and the hardware checks

Need an e-reader!
8 inch is kind of a dying class, but there's a few options left. Meebook M8. Runs Android. (Only Carta HD) Kobo Sage. Runs Kobo firmware. Discontinued, but it's a true 8" display, the others are 7.8" I think. And also Kobo nails the UX in a way I think no one else does. PocketBook InkPad 4. PocketBo

Nook Storage and eReader Recommendations
TLDR: You will not likely reach the sideload limit, if your device has one. You could potentially load 2,500+ eBooks. Longer answer: 1. Which NOOK device would you buy? These are the only currently supported devices with a 5 GB sideload limit: NOOK GlowLight 4 (Model: BNRV1100), NOOK GlowLight 4e (D

Rec for new ereader (looking for: no Amazon, physical buttons, bigger screen)
Oh, I just by accident watched today by first Nooks review; they definetly have a very basic (and somewhat boring) design - from my PocketBook-view - but are also very practical with two buttons on each side. It's even at a discount currently (likely in the US): NOOK GlowLight 4 Plus (7.8") As you h

i prefer the nook reading experience compared to other ereaders
Definitely prefer my nook glow light 4, it easily won me over compared to my kindle ppw (and Kobo too). My small hands are able to use it one handed and move the page turning buttons. There are some software improvements to be made but I still prefer my nook.
