How do I get sharper images in daylight?
I have been noticing when I’ve been shooting landscapes scenes that I am having real trouble with my camera picking up leaves and general detail in pictures. The leaves for example nearly all seem to just mould into noisy looking mush. I have been particularly struggling mentally with this when edit

Black-crowned night heron
Nikon Z50, AF-S NIKKOR 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR.
1/1000, ISO 1800, 500 mm.
My keeper rate was under 4% yesterday. Frustrating, but I did get this shot.

Snapbridge app, does it work seamlessly now in 2025? About to buy my first Nikon.
The Z50/Zfc/Z30 all have EXPEED6, which was released in 2018. It was behind the times in 2018, and although Nikon did a lot to make EXPEED6 cameras less awful than they were at release, they're still "usable" at best. EXPEED7, on the other hand, is competitive with Sony and Canon today. Unless you'r

The Z30 is slept on for photography only
Too funny. I sold my X-T10 to get the Z30. The colors are so good. I had the Nikon Z50 when it first came out and for some reason, the colors on it just didn't feel like Nikon color science. I ended up selling that when I got my birding kit together and came back around to the Z30 for an EDC.

Something wrong with my new 6k pro?
I just bought a BMPCC 6k Pro second hand I did a really quick test just as I brought it home and I can’t tell if there’s something up with it. I’ve attached pictures of it at 800 & 1250 ISO and a picture of the room to show what the lighting is actually like.
Could it be the fact that I’m using N

Sony A6400 or Nikon Z50 II
The Nikon Z50 II lacks In-Body Image Stabilization (IBIS). To achieve stable footage or sharp handheld shots, you must rely on in-lens Vibration Reduction (VR) (found on kit lenses like the Nikkor Z DX 16-50mm or 12-28mm) or use digital stabilization. Can you spend a little more for a body with IBIS

Best Performance for Value Zoom Cameras & Frames + Long-Reach Lens for a Wildlife Org To ID Birds & Take Decent Photos?
$400-800: The FZ80(D) is probably your only option if you are buying new. A used Nikon P950 also falls in that spectrum, though usually closer to $800. The FZ80D already has a lot of zoom and the P950 has even more. Neither are good in low light or particularly fast, so keep in mind that they'll str

Manual focus Issues with AIR series 20mm/25mm 1.7 lens.
I just started buying some of the AIR series lenses and noticed this problem with some copies of the 25mm F1.7 - the manual focus is glitchy and laggy. I know focus by wire lenses are non-linear but this piece was obviously defective. It goes fast one moment, and super laggy the next moment. (Video

Why do 3rd party batteries have better capacity?
I recently got a mirrorless (Nikon Z50) and I was not prepared for how fast it eats battery. My D7000 has a 1900mAh battery, and it lasts me a day or two of constant photography. I typically worry about filling up my SD card before running out of battery. With the Z50, I went shooting for a short 2

Z50II + Z 180-600mm Sharpness/Focus Issues
Please forgive my complete ignorance as I am very new to all of this (I just got into this less than 4 months ago).
A few months back I bought a Nikon Z50 II and a Nikon Z 180-600mm f/5.6-6.3 to document bird sightings, with the hopes that I'd develop more photography skills as time goes on.
I'll
